RE: Pacific Set 300 or 310 Card Set
Having spent so much money on various Pacific products over the years, I thought that I would be able to come up with an easy and helpful explanation for you, however, I am somewhat dumbfounded with what to say.
2004-05 Pacific had only 300 cards, 2003-04 Pacific had 368, but no #310 Vyborny, nor was there a #310 Vyborny from any of the Pacific Complete sets from 2002-03 or 2003-04, and here is the real interesting piece of the puzzle: Vyborny has only ever had one card #310 in a set and that wasn't until 2006-07. Having said that, Vyborny is officially listed as #80 in that 2004-05 set which matches your description, so it may have been a print error at Pacific. It's tough to say what the deal is with the card unless more are known to exist with such a mark. If you can include a scan onto this thread, I think that would help a little bit more as well!

RE: Pacific Set 300 or 310 Card Set
irbefan: I was a major Pacific Backer as well, so correct me if I'm wrong here, but didn't the 04/05 Pacific Set have a base of 300, then a Prospects/Rookies subset tacked onto the end that went from card #301-330? Even so, that still wouldn't accuratley answer the OP's question, as I believe Vyborny's RC came out BEFORE the 04/05 season...
***Editted*** Nevermind...a quick look at the checklist confirms you are correct!

RE: Pacific Set 300 or 310 Card Set
One thing everyone keeps saying here is that the original question said"2004 Pacific" so everyone is assuming 2004-05. They way Pacific marked their boxes was that if it said 2004 for example it was 2003-04, the last have of the season was what they went by on the box.
This still would not explain where the card came from-- could it have been a really good repackage job and the card is from something else?

There's your problem, it's Vaclav Prospal not David Vyborny of the Columbus Blue jackets.

And it is 2003-04 Pacific.
