I recently came across a 1986 Jerry Rice Topps Rookie Card. This one is unique though as I think it may be an error card, as I have never seen one that looks like it yet through searching online, ebay, amazon, etc. This card does not have the green and white field lines down the right side. The frame that Rice is in, is on the very right edge, while on the left edge it looks as if the same frame is starting again for another card. Though it is very thin, but you can see the gold trim of the frame from the original card. The dimensions of the card equal any other rookie card as well. It just happens to be misaligned or something. I'm not sure. I have been trying to find someone that can help me out with this as I think this card may have more value. Any thoughts?

1986 Jerry Rice Rookie Error Card

Without a picutre hard to tell, but sounds like a very bad centered card, if that is the case i would think it would hold a much lower value IMO... However without seeing it there is no way to tell..
Just a badly off center card, so worth considerably less than a mint copy.
All in with pocket Aces.... Andre Johnson and Aaron Rodgers.

yup that is indeed just a very bad off center one...... depending on the condition of the rest of the card it may grade in a 4 or lower....so that would be around what value it would bring.
yep...it's an error. an error in how it was cut. severely drops the value of it.
This is more or less how it's supposed to look.
alot of cards from the time periods of the 80-90's have severe off center issues and were not really subjected to much quality control from what i have read on the subject. Even then to have one that bad is kinda unique
PC: Dez Bryant, Felix Jones, Demarco Murray.
In Sports Cards that is bad. Now if that was a Dollar Bill and it was miscut/offstruck then it would have significant value. But on the sports side. That card is worthless. It is sad to see such a nice card be cut like that. Sorry to tell you but the grading on that is going to hurt

I collected a lot in the 80's and when i got cards like that it always frustrated me.... Wasn't uncommon for the miscut, just too bad it was on the RICE RC |
