RE: Tebow Era Starts Now
well they are still looking for a long term QB in Denver-
"I think Tim Tebow sparked the team today. We haven't had a chance to watch the tape. We haven't had the chance to visit as a staff. We have a bye week. We do need to improve offensively and it will all be up for discussion. We will evaluate it and make the best decision for the team," Fox said. "We're looking to have long-term success with somebody. Who that somebody is yet, I'm not sure." NFL.com- Denver (1-4) is full of questions heading into its break, chief among them this: Is this Tebow's team, or was it just a temporary fix? Orton was awful in the first half. He completed 6 of 13 passes for 34 yards with no touchdowns and an interception. Better off with Orton? I dont think so Looking for these Members!! RE: Tebow Era Starts Now
Orton had a bad game, and I was also not sorry to see him leave Chicago. On the other hand, he has already had a longer career than Tebow will have!

Tebow might have gave the team a spark....but as we look back through history...sparks burn out...and Tebow just dosent have the skill set to be an NFL QB...is Orton elite? no not by any means...but he is by FAR the best QB on that roster...and just like was said before...Ortons carrer as a QB has already lasted longer than Tebows will...he is a great guy...I am really in his corner...but I am being logical...running the ball and throwing a screen pass is nothing to get pumped up over. RE: Tebow Era Starts Now
Why does it matter how he gets it done as long as he gets it done ? I've never understood the whole you have to do it this way or you suck mentality. That's been the argument from his critics from day one it's always been he doesn't hold the ball the correct way, he runs too much for a QB, He runs all over the place before making a play so therefore he undecisive and doesn't know how to play the game in his head.
I've yet to see anyone say that he doesn't have what it takes to be successful in the NFL it's all about the way he goes about being successful that urks people because they themselves weren't able to do it that way so therefore it must be the wrong way. |

RE: Tebow Era Starts Now
nothing you said addresses the fact that Tebow has NO QB SKILLS. He can run...he works hard...he gives it his best. At the NFL level...thats not enough. He has no pocket pressance....he runs out of the pocket wayy before he should. He has bad accuracy...and his release time is so bad...if he dosent have perfect protection every play...his targets dont get time to get open. If Brees has to throw the ball when the rusher is a step and a half away...Tebow has to throw it when the rusher is three steps away....or start running and try to improvise...and thats when mistakes happen. I am willing to bet anybody anything that Tebow is never a consistent starter at QB in the NFL. I said it...he could probably make a really good TE/WR/almost Flanker type player....but he does NOT have what it takes to be an NFL QB. ![]() http://s1127.photobucket.com/home/ryanfo...ards/index Only Trading for PC cards now. |

RE: Tebow Era Starts Now
You can judge Tebow as not having any QB skills? Do you know how ridiculous you sound? He was drafted as a QB in the 1st round of the NFL and you say he has no QB skills?
Okay man, whatever you say...we'll see who starts for Denver the next game. If he starts then everyone should be fired including Elway according to you right? Because he has NO QB skills. Wait, shouldnt they be fired after letting him play today? rofl They must be blind !! Looking for these Members!! TOS ![]() US Army-TX |

RE: Tebow Era Starts Now
and what happened to the guy that drafted him in the first round? HE GOT FIRED.
You can name 100 first round QB's that never made it....being a first round draft pick and being a college star dosent mean you have what it takes to be an NFL QB....if that was the case Eric Crouch,Ryan Leaf, Heath Shuler and tons of other guys would be going to the NFL hall of fame. Look...just be logical. During training camp the entire Broncos staff...including John Elway( I think he knows a bit about being an NFL QB) Didnt think Tebow could do it...They have seen him practice countless hours the past 2 seasons He was put at 3rd on the depth chart BEHIND BRADY QUINN...then it was said that undrafted free agent rookie Adam Webber was further along than Tebow....These arent biasad fans watching from home....these are people that make a living by doing this...and whose jobs are at stake based on what decisions they make. I really dont think any QB on the Broncos roster right now will be the starter next season. ![]() http://s1127.photobucket.com/home/ryanfo...ards/index Only Trading for PC cards now. |

RE: Tebow Era Starts Now
The sample size is way too small to say he can't play QB in the NFL definitively. He has only started 3 games in which he went 1-2 in those games. He also has 6 career passing TDs, 7 career rushing TDs while only throwing 3 ints and losing 1 fumble for a guy who only "runs". That is a 13 to 4 TD to TO ratio which is pretty darn good. He has appeared in a total of 12 games so if my math is correct he has an average of 1+ TD per game while barely being on the field.
Today he came into the game in the 3rd quarter down 26-10 and had I believe 5 possessions. He scored TDs on 2 of them and if the defense didn't get called for a unnecessary roughness penalty Tebow would've had 2 min instead of 26 sec to make the comeback at the end of the game. Also keep in mind he threw a perfect pass on the second 2 pt conversion attempt and Lloyd couldnt come down with it. If he did the Broncos were in field goal range and may have went to overtime. Even with just 26 sec left he put them in position to win. Orton had 34 yards and 1 int in 2 and a half quarters. Tebow comes in and BAM the Broncos had life and almost pulled off a miracle type comeback. Why cant people look at what he did rather than what they think he cant do? I just dont get it... RE: Tebow Era Starts Now
I say a compromise is needed. Start Tebow at home where the crowd hates Orton and will chant for Tebow all game long anyhow which can't help Orton's confidence and let Orton start road games and at the end of the season see who has better overall stats.
