OPG / Beckettpedia
I have asked in the past to bring back Beckettpedia and to keep the OPG as up to date as possible. For the third time, I have ordered from Beckett Marketplace and received the wrong card. The reason-the card is not listed correctly in the OPG. If you think I am lying, check the 1992 Traks Variation cards and how they are listed in the OPG. Then I recommend that you look at my old Beckettpedia post on the 1992 Traks sets and my request to have them updated. I recommend until you can fix this, Beckett Marketplace should be shut down. I am tired of ordering the same cards over and over only to receive the wrong cards. It shouldn't be up to me to fix it, it should be Beckett fixing it. If you take the time to ask our opinions, take the time to make the corrections in the OPG. I can tell you, I would rather take my chances on ebay than to place another order on Beckett Marketplace, because there is no checks and balances from Beckett to the seller to confirm the card listed is the correct card. In other words, fix the OPG! Beckettpedia was my way of voicing corrections that Beckett hasn't taken the time to fix! Get with the program, you are losing customers because you don't take the time to get it right!

RE: OPG / Beckettpedia
In the sticky above under FAQs you would find this:
6. I have a card not listed in Beckett's database (or, there is an error in Beckett's database). How do I go about getting it listed (fixed). A: Send an email to the editor of the appropriate sport. For example for a missing/erroneous baseball listing, send an email to baseballmag@beckett.com. For a football card, it would be footballmag@beckett.com etc. Include as much info as you can - card year, make, number, checklist of other cards in the set, scans, etc. Beckett Baseball Magazine Email - baseballmag@beckett.com Beckett Basketball Magazine Email - basketballmag@beckett.com Beckett Football Magazine Email - footballmag@beckett.com Beckett Hockey Magazine Email - hockeymag@beckett.com Looking for these Members!! In the posts I made, I made reference to the error in the OPG and Beckett Racing and to date, no correction. Thus cards are being listed in error in the Beckett Marketplace. Buyers, thinking the Seller knows what card he is actually selling are sold the wrong cards over and over. If there was a way in Beckett Marketplace to ask the seller to confirm the correctness of the listing, there would be no issue. But since there are no corrections being made to the OPG or Beckett Racing, the train continues in the wrong direction. |
