About the BGS boxes

RE: About the BGS boxes
Phone call #2:

A woman answered the phone, I asked if there was a supervisor on hand I could speak to. She asked what my concern was that was making me request a supervisor. I went on to say that I was having issues with an older order. She asked for my name and I gave it, she asked if I had already called about this issue and of course I said yes. Who guessed it? It's the woman from phone call #1! So I never did get to speak to a supervisor.

She goes on to tell me that she had already sent an email with the concern to the specialists or the department (I forget her precise words) and then proceeds to ask me if I had tried contacting any of the grading specialists. I said that I had, and that that was kind of the point of my second call today - because no one is responding to me (Joe Clemons, grading@beckett.com). She reassured me that she had sent out contact and that those people should get back to her "hopefully" today or tomorrow in which case she will then get back to me about it.

The waiting game continues. The BGS office hours are 9am-6pm CST.

Coming up tomorrow on the BGS Box Hunt Channel:
Phone call #3 at 5:30pm CST requesting followup.

This may help; it's Joe Clemons' email address: JClemons@Beckett.com

Thank you but I already had it and have had some minor contact with Joe.
I don't have the actual times of day, but here is my contact history with Joe.

Sept. 13th - Joe initiates contact with me thanking me for my submission and informing me that 2 of my cards showed up damaged. He asks if I want to go through with having them graded or not so they would turn out bad.

Sept. 13th - I reply saying my decision would depend on if I still get charged, or if they just remove the price from my invoice, etc. If a refund is not possible, just grade them away.

Sept. 13th - Joe replies that since my order is due today and I have already been charged, they went ahead and graded them. " Let me know before you send your next order and I’ll give you a price break to help make up for what you paid for these." He also told me he could help if I needed documentation for an insurance claim.

Sept. 13th - I reply saying thanks for the heads up, and saying I didn't need the documentation he offered.

Sept. 20th - I initiate contact with Joe mentioning that I received my order but didn't receive the boxes and asked how they were normally shipped (with/without card order). And added, "Also, about your offer on the price break of my next order which I will most graciously accept, what would be the best phase of my next order to contact you about that?"

I do realize that he said before my next order, but just wanted clarification on if he meant before it was charged or whatever the case may be.

And sorry if that was a bit much, just wanted to be thorough on what the timeline of events was.

RE: About the BGS boxes
As a little update, I haven't made call #3 yet. I'm in the middle of switching phone services and I'd rather wait and call from my landline than suffer through another hard-to-hear conversation.
On the bright side, they responded decently fast (~1.5 days) about using a promo code on an electronic form -- you just write it in anywhere near the total, ignore what the form says is your final price, and they will calculate it at the office.

But no response about the email I sent regarding the boxes. Updates soon hopefully!
Oh, and my order from after all this box stuff is on the truck for delivery to me now. Pretty unfortunate to get two submissions done and over with before getting my boxes -_-

Phone Call#3

So now after the other excuses I've heard, the story has changed to them having no record of me paying for the boxes.

It's a good thing I have that record.

So phone call #3 was pretty short lived since she said there was no record of me paying, apparently now my next step is to contact Operations Specialist/Manager/Support (I forget) J. Murray

She said she was going to note my case or whatever and send it along to J. Murray and Joe Clemons and that she would give me a call (I think she said tomorrow). Anyone who's been reading this thread knows how they've been about contacting me, terrible. I told her this, that every previous person I've spoken to including Joe Clemons has not responded to me and therefore I've been left hanging. She reverted back to telling me the reason I get no information is because they have no record of me paying.

So onward with call #4 to J. Murray, I wonder who he will blame or which fault of mine he'll tell me is the reason I don't have them yet.

Needless to say, the customer service from Beckett has been absolutely pathetic.

Stay tuned!

Call attempt to J. Murray #1:
10:16am PST - Phone rung until voicemail, didn't leave a message.
Call attempt to J. Murray #2:

Time for a chargeback. If you even still have the option. Lots of time has passed.
