I would definitely say there is "Super highend". The rest is determined on how much people believe their cards are "gold plated" in 10K, 14K or 24k gold. BV becomes quite irrelevant at times, and Sale value takes over.

National Treasures from 2010 doesn't sell as well as it did when first released, yet some people tend to believe that an initial value determined at the product's inception, sticks with the card till it's death. I trade by need. People think I'm crazy sometimes, but I am happy in the end.
Insert Banner.

just what i have always thought of as "highend" and "super-highend"...well during the gu/auto/1/1 modern era anyways. it has evolved very fast the last 15 years IMO..not like when i was a kid and 1977 topps was it...a good hit for me was a league leaders bears insert..BV $4 for a dual RB with walter was the tchit!!..wow..high end then..

Also as goochi said... the Need Value.

I too give away cards because I dont need them or feel others could give them a better home where they will see the light of day more.

so true bro. and i would not consider a sold no name RC for $200 as "highend"...or a HOFers /5 auto patch that sold for $25 a low ender either...odd how values are really just about the holders and needers opinions...
