My Wal Mart just got in their Bowman Platinum (finally!), so I grabbed a blaster and 2 hangers. No big hits, but a few parallels for trade.

Now that I see the cards in hand, I have to say I liked last year's set better. Not a fan of the 'refractor' effect on every card - makes some of the base hard to discern from the gold parallels (Carlos Santana card #13 in particular). And no serial numbering on the gold, emerald or ruby parallels.

Anyway, aside from the base, here's what I got:

Was also surprised to see a blaster of 08 UD Heroes marked down to $9 - I really like that set, so I happily grabbed it as well. Unfortunately, nothing but base and the black retail parallels (I figured I could at least count on one other color parallel...but no luck).

Got a blaster of 11 Topps Football too...also fairly uneventful...but that's for another forum
