Dud of an 05/06 SP Authentic Break
So I bought 2 boxes of 05/06 SPA in the hopes of pulling a Crosby for my PC. That didn't happen. Here is the results:
First 4 packs of 08/09 H&P:
Taylor Hall base
Jordan LaVallee Calder Cup Winners
2 packs of 10/11 SPA:
Patrik Elias SP Essentials
05/06 SPA (2 boxes):
Jeremy Roenick SP Notables 603/999
Martin St. Louis SP Notables 358/999
Richard Petiot Future Watch 0202/1999
Chad Larose Future Watch 0014/1999
Ryan Hollweg Sign of the Times
Dustin Brown Sign of the Times
Kyle Quincey FW Auto 202/999
Petr Prucha FW Auto 357/999
Very boring break and worst I've ever had I think.
All are FT.
Thanks,
Nick

Yeah, 2006-07 is the way to go. Not only do you get the chance at Malkin, Stastny and Kopitar Future Watches, you get shots at Crosby, Ovechkin, Phaneuf, Ward, Lundqvist Future Watch autos. Not to mention 2006-07 usually has 2-3 times the stated number of hits in it. I pulled an 05-06 Franzen FW AU RC, an 05-06 Mike Green FW RC, an 06-07 Kari Ramo FW AU RC, and an 06-07 Evgeni Malkin Sign of the Times auto, among other #d rookies, SP essentials, and parallels from my first box of the product.

It's what I keep trying to tell the OP. I'm not sure why, but they put a bunch of 05/06 stuff in 06/07. And the boxes in 06/07 had more hits. I'm not saying get 06/07 for fun, I'm saying it to get Crosby.
Nice Sig Nate.

SP Authentic was supposed to come out in 2 series in 05-06. Therefore, they kept 1/2 the rookie cards out of the first product. For whatever reason, they decided to scrap series 2 of SP Authentic & to make it up to the collectors, they added the remaining rookie cards in 06-07 SP Authentic. Hope that clears things up.
