Too bad. I had the opportunity to meet him many years ago, when he was playing in the AHL and about to get called up. He was as kind and courteous as you could hope for. And he always played with such heart. I'm sad to see that he's leaving the game.
I collect Dany Heatley, Nicklas Backstrom, all Red Wings and most Yankees.
even though he wasnt a first liner, he will be hard to replace
Draper surely is a class act all of the way! He did very well with the Wings, and I can see them keeping him in the Organization. Grinders and heart-and-soul players like him are a rare find!
