Sadly I came home to no mailers which I was not too happy about but I did have an amazing time in Las Vegas and won a bit of money.

On the flight from Toronto to Vegas I saw someone in the airport that looked like someone I had seen before and then it hit me:





Yup, that is Eric Staal. He sat right in front of us on the plane.

I wasn't going to bother him but he stopped to take a picture with someone else so I asked if I could get one. He was very cool even standing for 3 pictures since the first was too dark and his wife's finger was over the picture on the second one.

I am 6'1" and he towers over me.


Didn't bother him for an autograph with getting the picture I thought that was enough.

Spud, I am the same way with current/recent NHLers, pre helment days, I can spot a few NHLers, ie I spotted Larry Robertson at a Church down in FL before (well my dad spotted him before I did)
