Question on a trade off beckett for a 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle the plot thickens
I have an offer which to me is unreal but if it actually happens I am good with it. This guy wants to trade me a 1952 Topps #311 Mickey Mantle DP for my 2010 Topps Allen and Ginter Mini Monsters of the Mesozoic Relics #MMR12 Pterodactyl. My first thing I need to make sure the PSA number is real. The 2nd thing is I need to drive there if it is. Give me your guys thoughts on this. Here are scans of both cards his is small which makes me wonder as well.

So to add to the question mark I asked him to send me a larger scan and something with a hand written piece of paper showing the card, the grade and the card. I get the lager scan with a different PSA Number. He then told me he sent the wrong picture the first time so now I am waiting to see the scan with the email name he has.

I would call psa and check the number. If it's legit. Then its your call. I would personally go with the mantle. I know people who have traded mantle and other old players for current stuff. They are tired of holding onto it. So they trade for the stuff they want. Good Luck. That mantle would look nice in my pc. Smile

Called PSA and its legit. This might take time away from doing my Allen and Ginter challenge but it will be worth it I feel.

it does seem unreal - I would jump on it and make sure he sends first. If driving make sure and meet him somewhere public.!

did some google searches, ebay searches, and dont see any psa5's with that matching number. so if he is stealing someone's else's image, he's working hard to do so

both parties must agree to send at a specific time, on a specific day, both with insurance and siganture confirmation

if the mantle is real you are robbing him blind. The thing with the mantle is that it is possible to open the seal on the sides of the slab and insert a counterfeit card and keep the original. I am always leary of buying or trading vintage online for that reason. With that kind of card value involved I would try to do an in person trade.

You know what they say about things that sound too good to be true.....

If this deal is legit, you need to jump on it. The other guy either:
A) Has no clue what he has
B) Is a complete and utter moron.
