Good day at the LCS
Went to a great little card shop today...picked up a few RC's and other nice singles for about a buck apiece, then decided at the last minute to pick up 3 packs of 10-11 contenders. Pack #2 gave me my best pull of the year, a Taylor Hall RC auto. Need to work on the scanner to get it posted...but for now, trust me, it looks great!
I collect Dany Heatley, Nicklas Backstrom, all Red Wings and most Yankees.

Wow, what a hit...congrats. I can never bring myself to just pick up a few packs of anything. How often do loose packs "beat the odds" in your personal experience?

I've had some big hits over the years, but there is no doubt I'm on the losing end overall. And that is after buying primarily boxes vs. loose packs. I'm focusing much more on singles, and broke my own rule to get those packs. I guess I can't complain this time...but the itch is scratched for now, since it isn't likely to get much better than that!
