Mike Richards to LA
Just watching the Score and it has been confirmed that my Flyers have traded captain Mike Richards to L.A. for Brayden Schenn and Wayne Simmonds.
Another interesting deal. I guess the Flyers need a bit of a shake up but I didn't expect this.
Not sure what they are doing but there a lot of other players that should have been move first.

Wow! Philly is really raring to land Bryz! I am shocked that LA let Brayden go... Simmonds too. They are both bound to be stars in the near future. I hope that my Habs start making some noise. They need a betteer scoring touch!

They also got a 2nd round pick from Kings, which makes the package even better.
Although some philly fans aren't too pleased about today's deals as shown by this screengrab of Paul Holmgren's Wikipedia page from 10 mins ago, LOL

Those other players include Hartnell, Cacillo, Carle, Shelly...Briere!
Not upset about losing Richards, a little peeved about losing Carter, maybe they have a plan (Holgrem did learn his GM skills from Bobby Clarke after all!) or maybe they are taking advice from the Eagles!

Oh well, what a great time to move to Columbus, tickets are cheaper there anyway!

Some of those players should be included in the must trade list first but the top of that list should have been Pronger. I cannot stand this guy. Never could, Never will. Another one that would have been on that list is Versteeg. Became the odd man out in Chicago, could hack it with the Leafs where he could nave become a superstar and now we are stuck with him in Philly. All I can say is Pronger better NOT become the NEW captain.

How could they trade Richards...I'm in absolute shock. Philly was maybe my favorite team to watch the last two years not named "Sharks."
