I keep seeing these cards on Ebay but am wondering where the letter "D" is coming from. There is not one in Roger Maris or New York Yankees so is this from an actual jersey? Any help is appreciated.

If its the nickname patches, it spells out "AGAINST ALL ODDS"
Which seems very excessive, in my opinion. The card I'm referring to has whichever letter on it, and says AGAINST ALL ODDS on the bottom of the card. I thought it was a letter manufactured by topps - like the stupid leather piece in 2011 topps...
Collecting: Bryce Harper, Cal Ripken Jr, Mickey Mantle, Roger Maris and Ted Williams.
I'm pretty sure they are manufactured patches
