So I bought a slot in a group break for 2011 Bowman Platinum-- now the date has been pushed back, past my protection from eBay-- anybody have any thoughts or suggestions as to what I can do? I don't think this guy is going to take the money and run- but I also don't like that if he does- there's nothing I can do about it.

Pushing the date back to post paypal protection time? Id say he is taking your money and running so to speak. Id do whatever you can to get your money back as quickly as possible.

No-- Bowman Platinum was originally scheduled to release June 28th? ish? -- now the release date on it is July 27th-- thus the product release is pushed back beyond my buyer protection-- seller didn't push back his own date. (Well I guess he was forced to due the the product being pushed back)

you need to get your money back ASAP don't mess around just buy another slot in a group break else where. Never trust anyone that you don't know. I did once in the card business and got burned bad

You wouldn't get your money back anyways, even if he didn't push the date back, as ebay/paypal do not do protection on group breaks, as it violates their acceptable use policy.

Huh? Topps pushed the product release date back by a month. If you join another group break you face the same problem. The seller did nothing wrong in this situation I think the previous posts do not understand what is happening. If the seller has 100% feedback rating then you shouldn't worry about it.

I pre ordered 6 boxes from a hobby shop. Now that that the product release date is pushed back, the hobby shop needs to refund my money? No they don't as this is not their fault either.

The seller did nothing wrong in this situation I think the previous posts do not understand what is happening. If the seller has 100% feedback rating then you shouldn't worry about it.

Yes, I agree with you. The seller does have 100% feedback, so I'm not too concerned-- was just looking for feedback of others, if any, who have encountered these scenarios.

Don't sweat it. I am sure you could ask the seller and he would refund your spot but I wouldn't worry too much. If he doesn't then you could file a claim before the time is up. I am sure if he was gonna run he was gonna either way, not like he new the date would change.
