BGS/BVG Group Submission - August 2011

Beckett Grading Services (BGS) and Beckett Vintage Grading (BVG) provides collectors with an affordable way to guarantee the authenticity and quality of their cards. BGS/BVG slabs are extremely durable, very professional looking and are graded with the strictest of rules. This thread, and others just like it to come in the following months, will be used to help collectors get the best grading service available at a very cheap price and interact with other collectors who enjoy graded cards.

In this thread you will find the rules along with who is participating in this particular submission. As these submissions gain exposure and are fine tuned, these submissions will grow. Hopefully, this will be a fun experience for everyone and help collectors protect their collections with the best service available.

RETURN SHIPPING (from Beckett):	$0.32 per card
DELIVERY CONFIRMATION (OPTIONAL):	$0.80

RETURN SHIPPING (from me)	Less than 5 cards: $3.50 (bubble mailer First Class) 5-8 cards: Medium USPS Flat Rate Priority Mail) 9-12 cards: Large USPS Flat Rate Priority Mail) More than 12 cards: Multiple Medium USPS Flat Rate Priority Mail) International: T.B.D.

If you wish to participate, you must make a post on this thread with the cards you wish to submit for grading. Please list them as they are described in the Beckett database.

Please check the previous posts as well as the "seating chart" to see if someone is already submitting a card you have. If the card is serial numbered, there is nothing to worry about (please put the serial number of the card). However, if someone is already submitting a Michael Jordan RC (as an example) then the first person who stated so is the only one who can. This way there is no mix-up between cards. Also, in your post, please put the total declared value for your cards.

There is no need for you to fill out the Beckett Grading Services submission form. I will fill out these papers as I receive the packages and payments have been processed.

Once you have submitted your request, I will place them into the "seating chart". After your cards are placed in the "seating chart", please package them and get ready to send them. When we have enough to fill the order, I'll PM you my address so that you can send them. If paying by Money Order or Check, please put it in with your cards. On Money Orders, you can either make them out to me or leave them blank. On Checks, you can either make them out to me or make them out to Cash.

When you send your cards, please send them with a tracking number. If you live outside of the contiguous United States and wish to participate in this submission, you may. However, you may have to ship your cards a month early so that they are received on time. Also, for the international members, it is PREFERRED but not required that you send via FedEx or UPS so that a tracking number can be used to make sure your cards will be here on time. I will be shipping back to you using UPS.

Once all cards and all payments are received and processed, I will assemble the order for shipping to Beckett. Please make sure that the cards you ship me are already to Beckett's requirement as stated in this form: http://www.beckett.com/grading/subform.asp. I have decided that for your safety and mine that I will not be attempting to scan anyone's cards for the simple fact that I don't want to be accused of anyone getting a lower grade than they should have.

The order is not limited to 100 cards, simply must be no less than 100 cards for us to get the deal. If there are enough people and this goes over 100 cards, that's even better. Anyone can submit anywhere from 1 to however many cards they wish. However, once we reach around 100 cards, I will close the thread and open a new one for another submission. The more consistent we are, we may get a chance at better deals (no guarantees).

Once I have shipped the cards to Beckett I will post the Delivery Confirmation number on the thread so that everyone can see where the cards are. Once the grades have been posted, I'll post them in the seating chart. Once Beckett informs me the cards are on the way to me, I'll update the thread. Once I've received the cards, I'll update the thread. Once I've repackaged all of the cards to be sent out, I'll update the thread. And once I've sent the cards, I'll PM each user with their Delivery Confirmation/Tracking Number.

If you wish to submit a minimum grade request that is fine. However, if you are not familiar with what that is, it is when you say that you want a card to be graded no lower than a value, say 7.5, and if it is, then they send the card back. However, even though they send the card back, they will not give your money back.

Also, if you are not sure if your item is an over-sized item, just think of any card bigger than a standard card as an over-sized item. If you have a scanner, you can post a picture here and ask us if we believe it to be an over-sized item. According to the submission form "Over-sized items consist of items bigger than 3x5."

Consequences
If you send a check and your check bounces, you will be suspended from the group submissions for 3 months. If your cards are received by me and there is no form of payment made yet, the order will be held up two days at max. In that time you should either pay me via PayPal or give me a Delivery Confirmation that a Money Order is on the way. If you violate these rules or consequences twice, you are banned from group submissions for a year.

Disclaimer
Beckett.com and Beckett Grading Services and Beckett Vintage Grading take no responsibility in any mishaps that happen between you and me (XstreamINsanity). I also take no responsibility in the grades your cards receive. This is why that I ask that they be packaged ready to go. This means preferably in a sleeve within a top loader and either placed in a team bag or taped at the top of the top loader so the card does not fall out. I will have to open the packages to make sure all cards are there and will immediately place them in the box going out to Beckett.

Donations
Not required, but appreciated. If donations are given, I'd prefer them to be in the form of cardboard. Nothing extravagant, all cards are welcome. If monetary donations are given, they will be used for the purpose of purchasing packaging material, such as foam for boxes or bubble wrap.

A guy was doing this on the football boards. But 45 days for like $5 or $6 ( I can't remember ).
I thought 45 days was way to long to wait for my cards

One Question though 3-5 in a bubble mailer... I dont know if you can get 3-5 graded cards in a bubble mailer lol

lol. I'm talking about one of the bigger bubble mailers. But yeah, I don't like the 45 day turn around either, especially when trying to make this a monthly thing, that's why I went for 20 days. The 45 day would have been $6 a card. I'm still trying to work out the kinks though.
