If you haven't already heard apparently Bryce Harper, the topic of many threads here, has an affection for pitchers. Towards the end of Mondays game, he blew a kiss to the other team's Zachary Neal. I pasted a link below with a video of the love affair if you didn't already see it. What do you guys think?

Well, I didn't watch the video. But from what I read from the article, it sounds like he was taunting the pitcher.

He would have drawn a 15 yard penalty in football. And the home run may have been disallowed.

I think this is why he is in the Minors and will remain there all year. He has a lot to learn and lots of maturing to do. The kid has been so much better than the talent around him that he hasn't had to deal with too much failure in the game. The higher he goes in the minors the more failure he will have to deal with as well as more teaching of how to be a successfull big league ball player. He is very young and not very modest because he hasnt had to be. give him a couple ab's against some top tier major league ready pitchers and let him deal with some failure that should give him a little modesty and help him act like he has hit a homerun before the next time he hits one. The kid from what I have read and seen is a good kid with a good head on his shoulders. In my opinion he is allowed to have a couple brainfarts considering he is only 18 years old. lol

He should remember what happened to Posey, Santana, Ray Fossee, and countless other catchers that have been crippled at home-plate. Can't really test his baseball smarts until AA ball. AAA the pitchers have a game plan and can make free swingers look like fools. Just have to wait and see. He obviously has a way to go before he learns the baseball code of conduct.

Watch the video again he does it as a reaction to the pitcher saying something. Harper admires his shot Bonds style and as he is rounding 2nd base the pitcher said something to him that garnered the kiss.
