Found this older pack at a LCS for 25 cents.

Beckett has this info:

"This 53-card set (49 basic cards plus four cover cards) was given out in five separate sealed packs (one from each of the following manufacturers: Donruss, Fleer, Press Pass, Topps and Upper Deck). One of the five packs was distributed at no cost to each patron that visited a participating sports card shop on April 3rd, 2004 as part of the National Trading Card Day promotion in an effort to increase awareness of collecting sports cards. The 50-card set is composed of 16 baseball, 9 basketball, 10 football, 4 golf, 5 hockey and 4 NASCAR cards. Of note, first year cards of NBA rookie stars LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony were included respectively within the UD and Fleer packs. An early Alex Rodriguez Yankees card was also highlighted within the Fleer pack."

Well, the pack I found was the Upper Deck one. It contained 15 cards:

Annika Sorenstam, Hideki Matsui, Ichiro, Jack Nicklaus, Ken Griffey Jr., Kevin Garnett, Lebron James, Michael Jordan, Michael Vick, Patrick Roy, Peyton Manning, Sammy Sosa, Sergio Garcia, Tiger Woods, Wayne Gretzy and an Upper Deck advertising card.

The cards are for trade if anyone wants them. I will probably post in the trade section when I get a chance.

I guess they were mass produced but it was the first time I have even heard about them. I had stopped collecting by 2004.
