RE: Does it bother anyone else?
LOL nice gentlemen, Right now I'm so in love with one seller (remaining nameless) lol Charging me 5 bucks to ship the card...and apparently I had to ASK for it to be put in a penny sleeve before going in the top loader...uh...what? lol I'll be shocked if the card even arrives in a bubble mailer if he cant afford to swing for a PENNY sleeve lol

Yeah, it bothers me greatly. Especially when the seller sends it in a PWE that I just paid 4.95 for, or they send it in a plastic sleeve but no hard case.

Amen to that, I got that once, and then the seller was ticked off when I didnt give him 5 stars on the secure shipping lol

They are charged on the total now, so it does not matter if the shipping is $1 or $10, they are charged the entire cost..
So a $12 total could be $2 card and $10 shipping or $10 card and $2 shipping..they are charged based upon $12..

So overcharging for shipping is not to save fees, it is to gouge the customer and hope they are too busy/stupid to read the fine print or shipping costs..

I consider the shipping cost and the cost of shipping when the card arrives on my feedback for shipping costs...$2.50 charge in PWE = 2-3 stars.. $4 shipping in regular padded without or with DC = 4 stars max.
My little protest I guess...

I ALWAYS mention if it arrived in PWE in the feedback too...and I read the recent feedback to make sure I am not bidding on a PWEphile type person..

RE: Does it bother anyone else?
Thats why I try to stick to buying multiple cards from the same seller in one shot. I hate paying more than the cost of the card on shipping. A dollar card, but two bucks to ship. I always try to make it worth our time.

I collect: Jeff Bagwell, and have Biggio, Berkman, Oswalt, Billy Wagner, some Pence and Clemens to trade for his cards

RE: Does it bother anyone else?
I generally use the $3.00 rule for shipping. Bubble envalope at walmart is around 50 cent each, DC at the post office is 80 cent or around that. and shipping is around $1.25. I don't add the holder and gas into the equation. The times I charge more is because I will also insureance the card so it dosen't come back on me. I do ask for an extra 50 per item but I max it out at $5.00 unless its a few high dollar items.

What I meant was....should have been more clear
Getting the card in bubble envelope with stamps of $.80 (run through the sorter perhaps) and I get charged $4 or more.
That is the point, not that using a bubble mailer is bad...
Sorry for the misunderstanding...
And I should have noted, those people NEVER use DC...
So they get $4 or more and use a used bubble mailer (sometimes new) and then put a couple of stamps on it and drop it off.
When the cost of the actual mailing arrives, I look at the price they charged and then decide on the stars...Usually when I check it out, I find that they are low in postage area stars anyways..so more people are at least reporting this.
Now if I was real smart, I would check that before bidding...But then I may never bid on anything....
