In the past I would have agreed with this statement, because either the fat packs had a Patch (2 per case though, pretty rough odds) OR they had a big fat nothing.

This year though, I have seen alot of FW autos come out of fat packs, so I think for sure the odds are in your favor, nothing to lose so to speak.

That being said, my LCS owner will only sell single packs of SPA at random (you can ask things like 2nd row, 3rd from the top, but you can't pick them yourself)
