I was in the store as the case came in, and figured why not.

Things to know if you think about buying this product -

- Upper Deck does not have a NFL liscense, so this is marketed under thier collegiate liscense.

- The base set only contains cards of FORMER players in thier college jerseys. There are no players included who are currently playing in the NFL.

- That being said, the set is filled out by having multiple cards of the same players, and inserts of those same players.

- There is roughly 1 card per pack of a possible 2011 draft pick.

- The packs also contain a 20th anniversary card in every 2 or so packs. These may be of a former great or a 2011 possible draft pick.

- Expect to get 3 rookie autos per box, one of which is an autographed manufactured letter patch.

Here are the HITS from my box:



As you can see, I actually got 2 letter autos.

The "STAR ROOKIE" is a parallel of the base cards, but the unsigned version has silver foil where these have gold.

I also saw another box opened where the person pulled a "STAR ROOKIE" card with red foil on it, and it had a stripe across the top right corner, with the number "15" stamped inside the stripe. Think just like the old "WILD CARDS" type of stripe on the card. No idea what this was and it's not listed anywhere on the box about it.

Link works, but doesn't really say what the striped cards are. I've seen multiple listings for these cards, some say you can send it in for the number of copies on the stripe of that card, and one lists that you can send it for a special card out of the number on the stripe.

Also, the list doesn't quite seem to be right, it lists one of my lettermen autos as being /800 when mine is marked /100, and it doesn't even list my other auto.

The list is very broken up, there are several auto groups that appear in two places etc...I wish it said what rc autos were sp as I'm sure there are some.I also wish it gave you some idea how "rare" the rare star rookies are and if they are rarer than the sp's that are listed.

Rough box. I'll be picking up singles of a few guys. Seems too spendy for only 3 hits. UD Draft had 5 autos.

Each letter is #'d to 100. The whole nameplate includes 8 letters, so a total of /800. Thats why the discrepency. My Jacquizz is #'d to 35, with his alma being BEAVERS, bringing total print run to 245.

Also, I would much rather keep a 15 stripe card then to recieve 15 of the exact same card the I could probably get for $0.99 off ebay. If that's the way this works.
