RE: Great Mail Day
Nice ones! Big Ted Williams fan here, although I can't afford most of his early stuff. My cousin has a fishing reel signed by him back when he was endorsing sporting equipment for Sears in the 70's. I really want it, but he just won't give it up!

I've always admired Ted Williams Made all those records and served in 2 wars. WW2 and Korea we don't find those kinds of players anymore!! In '59 Fleer came out with a Ted Williams set these cards are part of it. |

RE: Great Mail Day
Wow. Cool. Looks lime his jersey says San Diego. I know he was from there, but did he play in the PCL before joining the Red Sox organization, too?
Collect Kirk Gibson (Tigers), Lou Whitaker, Alan Trammell, Jack Morris (Tigers), Lance Parrish (Tigers), Sparky Anderson (Tigers), Tom Brookens (Tigers), as well as earlier Tigers greats like Al Kaline, Norm Cash, Mickey Lolich, Willie Horton, etc. |

Yes, I've heard and don't know how true it is but his mother talked him out of going east to play ball. He was only 17 at the time and so he signed with the PCL. |

RE: Great Mail Day
Great to see more Ted Williams cards. I am collecting the 59 Feer set and have a few duplicates in fair condition.
