I'd prefer to wait, I could still get the cards and it could be somesort of misunderstanding. However if I don't get the cards and have to be refunded through paypal dispute I will consider them a thief and I will have no problems outing them.

If someone doesn't respond to your messages over and over again, I'd say the money's long gone. Plus, with $500 worth, who in their right mind wouldn't send out with signature confirmation? Misunderstanding is an understatement if they aren't doing everything in their power to make sure the package arrives in your hands. How long has it been?

money is not long gone..... either way with paypal your protected, whether you sent paypal gift or regular, doesnt matter.

i've never understood why people always say nooo i cant pay with gift to avoid fees, im not protected theres nothing i can do... you can still open a case

Yep, that one is already been dealt with. I was more annoyed that you never know when someone is being honest or just someone making something up to back out of a purchase.

I dont send gift to people i've never dealt with before, and even then at $500, it's going as merchandise and not gift.
It's the fact that he'll have to undergo the process if his package doesn't arrive. The sense of trust and business is shaky and may never work with those folks again.
There's a few folks here that I'll never ever deal with ever again just cuz it was a bad bad experience, and I go as far as not even going to their thread at all. Cuz frankly, i really no longer care what they have even if I may need it. You can't erase a bad taste in your mouth; you can only cover it up with mints.

Just so no one gets confused I did NOT send as a gift payment. Although people pay me with gift payments all the time to save a couple bucks, personally I'd rather spend the extra cash and send normal payment.

Well I checked the mail, and checked the bogus DC number and nothing. I am at the 2 week mark so I filed both claims and escalated them. If I don't get a response and no cards ever show up I am going to assume they were trying to pull a fast one and I will post their ID so it doesn't happen again. If they log on again and don't respond to me I'll also post their ID so they can't try and screw someone else over through PMs or something.
