Wrestling All Stars update
Beckett since you don't really follow the cards I am going to give you an update.

The two strongest cards right now are the Mil Mascaras and the Kerry Von Erich.

The notion you can find a Mascaras for $3 to $5 and a Von Erich for $5 to $10 in NM-MT is insane.

I would suggest having your expert analyst start tracking auctions. The prices you make up in the guide are just that, made up.

Thanks

RE: Wrestling All Stars update
It is worse then I thought. They have the Mil Mascaras as a $2.50 card in NM-MT.

Two things should happen.

One you follow some sales and quit making up prices.

Two the set in NM-MT can not be obtained for $450 or even close to that. Very few complete sets come for sale and a NM-MT set would be at least $900 or more. The prices in your made up guide are for EX grade and really no higher and even many are still too low.

The odds of getting NM-MT cards or higher are so rare. That is why the pop reports are so low. No one subs cards that grade a 4 or 5.

82 A and 82 B are no where near done going up.

RE: Wrestling All Stars update
Beckett you should be embarased by your coverage of wrestling. For months you have had the 1985 Topps Hogan in your top 5 hot list and had the blue card shown when talking about the yellow card.

Your magazine is becoming obsolete and the least you can do is get some prices right. The vast majority of the cards you list sell for 25% of the high book price.

You have cards still selling for 6 to 10 times high book for the Wrestling All Stars.

What is the point of putting out a magazine with such stale prices for all cards??

Many point to VCP as the answer but you have brand recogition and could do so much better but that is sliping away as fast as a high tide.

If you have any hope of staying in business your analyst need to get more active across the board. The idea that cards never change in value for years is simply crazy.

The market for wrestling is clearly not as big as baseball and other major sports but when you have such a small supply of cards to track your job is easy.

Your business is doomed if you don't start making more price changes for all cards up and down. Everyone who buys cards knows EBAY is the market and you need to reflect closing auction values in your guide.

We live in an information driven economy and reporting information that is as stale as bread left out for weeks is a losing proposition. I hope someone at Beckett reads this and takes a long time subscriber serious.

I have purchased your magazine since the 1980's and your brand loyalty is at an all time low. The only hope for saving your franchise is hard work and better real time info.

There is not one price for all 108 cards from the three sets that is right in NM-MT. That is terrible coverage and doing collectors a major dis service.

Wake up or quit.
