When a player fails a "drug" test...
does that only mean PEDs or can it be other illegal drugs? I ask because of the ManRam drug test. He failed one 2 years ago and failed another one recently. Are we to assume when its released publicly they failed a drug test because of PEDs? What if a player failed because of cocaine? I just dont know how the process works.

I remember when ManRam failed his first one it was for that fertility drug which was used to mask steroid use. However, if the test did not show actual steriods/hgh were we to assume he was using PEDs altogether?

Just confused really. Its the same way in football. A player fails a test but they never clarify what substance was found.

Congrats to Jason Taylor and Zach Thomas!!! GO PHINS!!!

RE: When a player fails a "drug" test...
I believe I read Manny's failed test this Spring was a PED

Usually with normal drugs they do not face a suspension like Geovani Soto who had to do classes or whatever when he tested positive for marijuana but didn't miss any game time

I was under the impression that they are all lumped into one suspension, and the public is not supposed to find out what they tested positive for, but it always gets leaked . I'm also pretty close to guessing so i wdn't put any stock into my knowledge, or lack there of . Interesting question though
