How do you store your vintage??
Have seen one touch stick to cards.... I have had a penny sleeve stick, but was able to remove the card without damage... (happened last night) Today I am kind of paranoid, searching SGC for large volume discounts...

NOW THESE ISSUES WERE WITH MODERN, NOT VINTAGE.

I really dont forsee anyy problems with the vintage, (no modern coatings). But I am still kind of weary of my current holders for my vintage.

Thoughts?

I picked up most of my prewar stuff back around 97-98. They have been in the same sleeves and top loaders now 13-14 years no problems.

Yeah, I've never had any problems with penny sleeves and top loaders on my vintage stuff.

Interested in EX-MT or better pre-'56 Cardinals, '53 Bowman Color & '74-'78 Topps.

No problem here either. But I always take my vintage and pull the penny sleeve off and put a new one on every 2 years( even year) so I wont forget.

I do the same with my newer stuff as well and had some problems of sticking but it did not damage the card. Usually it is the Topps chrome and Bowman Chrome that have this problem. So the main thing is move the cards in and out of the penny sleeve wo ease your concerns.

Whith all the top loaders I have its a good solid 6-8 hrs to complete but it does settle your mind. If you have kids like I do it is after they go to bed or while they are in school.

RE: How do you store your vintage??
I picked up some "vintage" penny sleeves that are made of a material that doesn't stick to the cards. Then I have them in 1/2" lucite recessed screwdowns because I like to display them. If I were just storing them I would have them in toploaders.

RE: How do you store your vintage??
I just have all my 50's and 60's cards from Mantle, Frank and Brooks Robinson, Maris, Koufax, Pete Rose rookie, Seaver rookie, Ryan rookie, doesn't matter if they are star players or commons on shoe boxes with rubber bands, just like the good old days.
I do have them on top loaders and screw holders depending on the players. Never had any problems with vintage cards. I do have the 69' and 72' set on binders. The main cards are out of the binders.
