After the first weekend of the new 2011 season Id say there are a few surprises.......

First off Orioles 3-0 in first place of the AL east and Tampa and Boston at 0-3

San francisco with a 1 and 2 record, they play the dodgers tonight so maybe 1 and 3.........

The Cubs losing 2 against pittsburgh...........

The Cardinals losing 2 against San Diego, this one I understand more, they lost Holliday after game 1 and wainwright was not their opening day starter.

The phillies 3 and 0, dont think its much of a surprise actually.......

Yankees pitching issues, still managed to win 2 of 3 against a heavily loaded Tiger lineup.....

What does everyone else think after weekend 1??????

My biggest surprise was actually being able to watch all three Braves games so far. Other than that, I'd have to say Boston dropping three and Heyward's second opening day homer.

Nothing surprising abut the Giants start, it was a rough ride all of last year, that's how they roll. The only surprising thing is Aubrey Huff making some diving plays in right field ha ha, he seems out of place out there. He faceplanted twice in a row in that 10-0 win the other day.

Ian Kinsler has probably been surprising the Red Sox.

How the rangers bats have been on fire this early and kinsler being the first player to hit hrs in his first two lead off at bats he didnt get one today in his lead off but still got one later one and david murphy being able to come off the bench and launch that was pretty cool to. also being able to catch the all the ranger games so far this season being down here in fl.

True, but the bright spot to this has been Starlin Castro. Once he gets his errors down and get a little better at base running, he should nearly as good as Jeter in his early career.
