Hey guys! I had a great weekend at the Boston Show. I ended up selling everything i had left on my table to another dealer. I made over $5 grand this weekend. I still have some stuff left but not much. Unfortunatley i sold my Curry collection but it was worth it. Now i will have to rebuild after i buy a new car!

wow mike! congrats!! 5000 in profit though? i hear its really hard to make a lot at shows. i am interested in doing a show sometime but im chicken and dont know how!! any ideas. i have summers off so i would like to try.

That's great news! Definitely rebuild your collection! I wasn't happy before when I am reading your thread about your problem. I tried to never post a reply because I might just end up being flamed or trolled upon. Good thing I did not post in that thread.

Not $5000 profit. Prob at least $2500 profit though. I love doing shows. I did great at this show because out of the 200+ dealers i think i was the only one who had Ray Allen and Rondo autos. It was a big vintage show. 75% of the dealers had all vintage. Some cards i def. could have broken up and sold for more on Ebay, but i figured i need the car! Matt i've heard there is some crazy shows in California including the sports card convention, which use to be held in Hawaii. I will have to start re-building for my store though. No more busting way for me though, mainly just going to buy singles on Ebay. However i did buy a box of Bowman Sterling on my way out (I got a great deal for only $295 on it!). But i had some sweet pulls. Carlos Santana Black Refractor Auto /25, Carlos Santana Gold Refractor /50, Dominic Brown Auto, Jameson Taillon Auto, and Aroldis Chapman auto!

wow i busted a box of donruss basketball last night. just a gilmore auto patch and kobe patch. oh and a low end curry /100.

so you have to bring your own tables or they provide it? also what does it cost to sell? per table or what?

let me know what you need for your store. i am really trying to get rid of all mys stuff under like $20 in BV i just dont have the room. i would like to make a little money or small trades for them. i have so many commons!!

They provide the table. All you got to do is bring the cards . Save all ur Rondos, Ray Allen, Pierce, KG, Larry Bird, Bill Russell, and Current Celtics and i can buy them off you or trade. Doesn't matter to me. But man you def. should do shows. I am going to continue to collect prospects in baseball. It seems to me that, that is where all the money is!

I definitely am continuing to put ALL celts to the side for you.

Do I need display cases though to cut down on thefts? Or how do you display things? And do you already have prices on cards or how do u have pricing ready? I am really wanting to do it once at least. lol

My brother and friend made display cases for me. You def. want display cases for higher end cards over prob $25. I price cards with book value and then i let ppl make an offer on them. I use 2 display cases and then a little stand that i book low end autos and gus on. I'll send you pics when i get home tomorrow of what i use Matt.

Unfortunately I think I'm going to have to print out sheets of the cards I have for sale for the show I'm going to be doing. I doubt I'll get $5K though. Would love to. I'd go crazy on ebay and get a crap load of boxes. I'm hoping to trade at least most of my doubles/commons/inserts/rookies and superstars for boxes or Pistons cards. Congrats man, hopefully I'll be able to help you build your collection back up. Going to go back for Curry, or just sticking with Baseball?
