Baseball HOF vs Football HOF
I've been looking to add to my HOF rookie card pc and decided to check out some football. Football was my first collecting passion in the 70's because no one in my family really watched baseball. I wish I still had those cards. Gave most to my brothers when I went into the service and have no idea what they did with them. Afraid to ask. I have noticed that football HOF rookie cards are very affordable in decent grades unlike baseball. Even from the 50's. Just curious as to why this may be so. Opinions anyone? Also going to post this on the vintage baseball thread.

Set builder thats also looking for all vintage Philadelphia Phillies and Philadelphia A's.

Easy question.More people are into baseball. Equals higher demand. Higher prices. To me try and get some high grade key RC's from 50's-mid 70's in either football or hockey and it's almost imposible unless you got a large pocket.Like you said there is bargains out there.Right now i am building a 1971 topps fb set. To get in good shape is hard because of colored borders. If you are thinking about that set we can talk i have a bunch of doubles that set is loaded with stars & HOFer's.

Will trade for anything that catches my eye. Ovechkin RC's,Brodeur,Devils,Yankees, Cowboys,HOFer's, vintage,Auto's and patches.I send everything in new bubble envelope. And being new I don't mind sending first.

RE: Baseball HOF vs Football HOF
there are definitely bargains to be had in vintage fb, but...along with the bargains..if you ever need to sell, not very much action there (just like this section of the board)

I am in 3 trading groups with 100-300 members each, and still 10% or less of guys that are baseball set building are football set building as well...
