LeBron let Wade take the last SHOT!
After the crying saga this week in Miami, I have to wonder why in the world is LeBron James is taking the last shot, instead of Dwayne Wade?
LeBron continually fails the Miami Heat at the end of games. LeBron seems to think this is his team. But he lacks the killer instinct of Kobe or a Jordan or any of the greats, it takes to be a winner. Instead, Dwayne Wade the man who carried them to the finals, the man who down 2-0 to Dallas in 2006, led his team to 4 straight wins needs the ball in his hands when the game is on the line. In the 2006 Finals Wade put them on his back and single handedly won the championship, something Lebron wasn’t able to do when he lost to the Spurs in the finals. Many people in the industry consider Wade the better closer but he keeps deferring to LeBron at the end of games, why is that? Wade needs to tell LeBron “Hey man, I’m the finals MVP. This is my team not yours, give me the ball and let me close.” After a loss last week, Lebron said, “Like I told my team, I'm not going to continue to fail them late in games." There is no reason to think he won’t continue failing the Heat. As the Heat are all crying in the locker room, I think to myself, if LeBron doesn’t want to fail his team then defer to Wade at the end of games because he is the better closer. For them to make a championship run this year and in future years, I think LeBron needs to facilitate and put the ball in Dwayne Wade’s hands with under a minute to go. Wade has 1. (and was MVP in the finals) James has none. Give the ball to Wade in the final minutes. James has proven that he chokes. Trading ANYTHING in my Photobucket for these cards: M. RE: LeBron let Wade take the last SHOT!
These are all fine opinions that I must disagree with.
Spolestra and Riley know that there is a better chance of winning a close game with the ball in the hands of the team's best player at the end of the game. That is about the only thing there is to say to that. The best closer argument is a bad argument. Ask any good coach and he will tell you the ball goes to your best player in that situation. Now who is gonna say that Wade is a better overall player than James? James is the most athletic of the two, has better overall numbers and has more experience in the closing of a close game scenario. Believe it or not, I like Wade more than James, being that I am more of a "Kobe fan/James Hater". But the numbers and the logical choice is James over Wade in that situation. I disagree, you can be a season MVP and put up amazing numbers in the regular season, but what about the playoffs? You can be the best athlete in the world but can't handle pressure. There's been a lot of athletes that choke under pressure and Lebron is one of them. (he did it just last year) As for Wade, he has a championship underneath his belt AND gotten MVP in the finals. His stats beat Lebron's hands down when it matters. (playoffs) But what i do agree with is that all this is purely opinions. =) Trading ANYTHING in my Photobucket for these cards: M. RE: LeBron let Wade take the last SHOT!
I dont think you can go wrong with the ball in either players hands. I do think wade may be a better clutch shooter and is one of the best at finishing around the rim. But lebron can still shoot good, finish around the rim. lebron is a better passer imo and draws alot of attention. he can attack the rim, if he thinks hes going to make it or get fouled, go with it, or find somebody with an easy shot. the season is long and things happen. everyone is wanting to see Miami fail, they blow some huge leads and go on a loosing streak. take note of how the lakers played before the allstar break and now they have went on a small run, analyst are talking about how they are the favorite again and playoff ready. but look at what miami can do when they have their head on straight. these last 3 games have been impressive. they dominated the lakers, sweeping them in the regular season, beat a decent memphis team by 33 and then beat the top team in the league, spurs, by 30. team chemisty speaks alot, and as miami continues to get better and better, the league is in danger however long this team stays together. but i will finish with my first sentence, I dont think you can go wrong with the ball in either players hands.

RE: LeBron let Wade take the last SHOT!
I highly disagree that LeBron is the best player of Miami Heat. I believe he is still hyped by all these people in ESPN and in NBA. His stats does not speak so loud to me, but his LeChoke attributes speaks louder and clearer.
I would certainly hate to see the Lakers in the finals versus Heat and Heat beating Lakers is so stupid. I can't believe the people at my environment to expect the Heat beating the Lakers. Peace to all, Peter ![]() I will miss you bbills1999 Where are you XstreamInsanity/Jason? |
