Organize file names are truncated
I looked at my organize and cannot see the entire file names I have assigned each set of cards I have. For example for 2010-2011 Upper Deck Hockey I have the name - "DR Hockey - 2010-11 Upper Deck" with the quantity showing after in parenthesis. I only see the following "DR Hockey - 2010-11 U" without the quantity. It was fine the last time I logged in. I have multiple 2010-11 Upper Deck with separate names depending on the card. Is this going to be fixed? It looks like the column doesn't wrap just truncates. Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

I put this post out a couple of weeks ago because I was going to try and test some additions to some files I have that exist. Because of this problem it makes what I wanted to do much more difficult and decided to wait until the site was usable. I guess it's not worthy of a reply as to if it's a known problem and it's being worked on or the problem doesn't really matter. Please at least confirm if it's a problem or not and if it will be looked at. Is there something in the my settings (which would be new) that I have to do? Answers please?

Thanks for responding. It seems like we're being ignored. I appreciate your response so at least I know that I'm not the only one with the problem. Hope they start fixing things soon.

You aren't being ignored, it's just repetitive sometimes repeating things that have been stated before. I know I should still respond, but when I'm at work and only have a 30 minute lunch, I do what I can in that 30 minutes. I do have to put this on the Announcement though so it gets taken care of.

RE: Organize file names are truncated
This is also my biggest problem.....everything else in organize is working fine. You would think this would be obvious, easy fix.

True, if everything else in organize was working fine. But given that sorting is working and trading isn't implemented yet I would guess that this falls to the back burner until those two issues are addressed.
In due time I guess.

Unfortunately true. As to the previous poster saying it should be an obvious easy fix, eh, not necessarily. I've tried looking into it from where I am just by viewing the source page, and it's not something I can do. If I knew exactly how it was operating, I might be able to help them solve that issue.

Ok here is an easy Fix.

Not sure what the Dr stands for, But You can make a folder & call it DR Hockey. All collections in that folder will be your DR hockey cards. This way you don't have to put that in each collections name.

2nd name the collection 10/11 ... i assume you don't have cards from 1910 & 1911 and you will know that they are 2010/11 cards.

Last you don't have to spell out Upper Deck... UD will do fine.

So instead of your collection name looking like this "DR Hockey - 2010-11 Upper Deck"

You Will have a folder DR Hockey
And a collection called 10/11 UD . in fact 2010/11 will fit also.

If you are not doing trading which means most people won't look @ you stuff, Cut down these set names to something you understand.

if you are doing trading, i think that the New Folder system works Great.

Make Folders by players, brands, years Positions and so forth. It cuts down on having a long named collection. Here is a sample of how i keep my stuff.

Here are my folders
Baseball C
Baseball P
Baseball 1B
Baseball 2B
Baseball 3B
Baseball HOF
Baseball HOF Sets
Baseball OF
Baseball SS
Baseball Sets
Baseball Sets Rookie
Football Def
Football QB
Football RB
Football Set
Football TE
Football WR
Graded Cards
Hockey

And here is a sample of How my sets are named inside Baseball set folder

1963 Topps
1964 Topps
1965 Topps
1966 Topps
1967 Topps
1968 Topps
1969 Topps
1969 Topps Deckle
1970's Kellogg's
1972 Topps

And here is a sample of how my Players are inside the Baseball C Folder.

Martin, Russell
Martinez, Victor
Mauer, Joe
McCann, Brian
Misc Catchers
Molina, Yadier
Piazza, Mike
Pierzynski, A.J.
Posada, Jorge
Rodriguez, Ivan
Santiago, Benito
Varitek, Jason

Hope this helps.. I feel it makes it clean to look at and if traders come and check you out, pretty easy for them to figure out were to look.

This was not a problem until about a month ago so this was fine until there was an update to the system. It seems when something is fixed something else gets broken. Your suggestion above may work fine for you but not for me. This would mean that I would have to adjust all my files to accommodate any programming updates that may "break" another area of the system. This should be standard procedure when updating any system to check if anything else is negatively affected. I'm hoping this gets fixed soon so I can continue updating my inventory which would mean I would start subscribing again.
