I hate to look a gift horse in the mouth because this is great but, I have over 100 cards to remove from a collection (my Trade Collection). I have to remove them one at a time. One...at...a...time. I miss the old site where I could check off all 100+ cards and remove them all from my specific collection in one felt swoop without removing them from other collections at the same time. Another case where a function on the old site was superior to the new one. That's not good.

I just removed 160 odd yesterday from my recently added folder. It is a pain but I think it is worth it because you do not have to be in a particular collection to remove a card from it.

I agree, that was one part of the remove on the old system I detested previously. I'm glad you brought that up. So far I like this remove. I removed a good 100 cards from a collection yesterday, didn't take that long.
I do understand his frustration with 1000 cards though.

Yeah, I forgot to mention that in my post. I didn't think it was going to work when I tested it, but I was extremely happy to see that it worked. I'm in the process of extremely organizing my Pistons cards and going from a collection that has them all, putting them all in manufacturer/set folders by year, and accidentally added one to the wrong collection. I clicked the remove button, and it worked. Made me very happy.

Takes the same amount of time to check a box or click the (x). System is super fast now so I don't think its a big deal. Now If you were talking about the OLD Site That when you clicked something it Took FOREVER to do it You would have a point. Just seems that everyone has there own little point they feel they can't live with out. This is now The 3rd site that i'm using with Beckett, and the new site is 1 million times better then the other 2. I just hope that they don't try and make everyone Happy and start to SLOW it down by adding all this other stuff in. Once everyone gets use to this site... The OLD site should NEVER be brought up again. Just my 2 cents

about adding stuff, i agree, i just want the trade feature back, i hope this matchmaker thing isnt going to be more of a headache and slow the site down, i was fine with the way trading was done on the last site.

not to complain, but if i have a card in a number of different collections, this new remove is absolutely useless. i only can see the first 4 or 5 tags. i have some cards that are in dozens of different collections

Not true on the time saving. Don't get me wrong. I like the new function to remove a card from a collection. That makes it super easy to remove "a" card, but when you remove 100+ cards, it takes much longer because the site resets itself after every click. You remove one card by clicking on the "x" and the site goes into delete mode and then resets and only then can you remove a second card. Before you could check off 100+ cards and then remove them all at once. That way the site only resets itself once instead of once for each card removed. That's where the time saving factor comes in.

This is the third time the site has changed since I've been a member too and I agree this one is superior. However there were some functions from the old site that were good and that are missed. The main issue with the old site was it's inability to function in a timely manner or in many cases, function at all. Now it's just a learning curve on our part and the time to iron out the bugs on Beckett's part.

I have to ask, Why in the world would you have the same card in that many collections? I have some cards in 3 collections (Mtl base, Complete sets, Cards for trade), but I can't imagine a dozen.

each collection is a different order for a customer. helps me keep track of what my customers got in each order, allows me not to give them dupes from order to order. and because i buy in bulk - say, 300 1999 edge odyssey kurt warner rookies, one of those kurt warner cards goes in a lot of different orders - around 300

now, i had to change accounts last spring because of a beckett data issue specific to my account, but every order i have had for the past year is on this account. (almost all. had to go to spreadsheets for a while during the transition

so you can imagine what the amount of collections i have in the beckett database (hundreds)

so the new method of removing from a collections doesnt do me a lot of good. i can always use "move to" (i already have a dump collection where i move stuff to). and i know im an extreme user, so i dont expect them to cater to my whimsy. however, there surely could be a better way than they have set up

just sayin'
