Nice Mantle! I love flea markets and garage sales. Last month I picked up a 58 Drysdale, 71 Mays, 48 Bowman Vern Stephens, and a 60 Fleer Ty Cobb for 4 bucks apiece. They were in a box with hundreds of other cards, all in hard plastic, but most of the rest were 89-99 years. The Drysdale, Mays and Cobb were all in Great shape, but the Stephens is beat up quite a bit.

I do too. A couple of years back I purchased a 3500 count box of all graded Vintage. After I got it home and started going through it. I took it back to the woman that had the estate sale. I told her that if she gave my money back I would help her sell the cards because the cards that were in there were way to valuable for what I paid. She almost had a complete set of 1952 topps graded 6.5 and higher. She made about 25x what I paid for the cards. Started listing them on the bay for her. She was very excited and thanked me for my honesty. I told her that her husband left her like $200k in cards easy. Come to find out when she was selling the house she went into her attic. Not too many of those in Cali. She found some more boxes with cards. Her daughter contacted me again asking if I wanted to purchase them. I went by the house and went through them. Again. Cards were worth way more than I could afford. So I helped her sell them to a few Vintage collectors I know. She offered me a finders fee. I told her to keep it and make sure that all the finances are taken care of. I did get a few nice vintage cards from her. When I get them out of safety deposit box...I will scan for you. Some nice 1910 T206 Tobacco Cards. Some 1952 Topps Hi Series PSA 6's. 1 will blow your "SOX" off. And some 1935 Goudey Cards.

IF it does not get a 9 or better I will be shocked. Card looks pack fresh. There was a bunch of 53 Topps and stuff like that. The rest are PSA 4's to PSA 6's. If you are putting a set together let me know. I have about 500 older cards. I may be interested in any Cardinals from 55 Topps. Maybe some of the reasons people are less active with '55 Bowman. They are generally miscut and it takes very little wear to give them a shabby appearance especially the corners. The dark cards being the worst.....
,,,,but here I have to say great pick up indeed...Mel A slow Shipper, if not acceptable, then NO Trade please...Mel Looking for the following: Older Players Jimmie Foxx, Ty Cobb, Bob Feller, Walter Johnson, Joe Jackson, Cy Young, Walter Johnson, Rogers Hornsby, Christy Mathewson, Ike and Bob Boone.
