RE: BGS vs. PSA
I can summarize PSA in one card:

I mean, really?

RE: BGS vs. PSA
Not knowing right off hand what AP's signature looks like, but knowing the history with that set, I'm going to guess blatant fake?

Seeking 2007 National Treasures Drew Brees Laundry Tag cards #'d to 10.

If you send in a Beckett card to PSA to be crossed and it doesn't cross, PSA will give you no explanation as to why the card did not meet their criteria. My experience has shown that PSA loves to say that Beckett cards are trimmed, but leave no explanation as to where the card was trimmed. Beckett will tell you why a card doesn't meet the minimum and if they say a card is trimmed, they tell you where they think it's trimmed. Beckett likes to say PSA cards are trimmed also.

PSA does not grade autos if they are manufacturer certified. I sent in a 2001 Drew Brees Bowman Chrome Auto recently to beckett. The auto apparently was wiped (because they are all faded anyways) and resigned by whoever (I got my money back from the seller BTW). PSA would've graded the card no problem since it was certified as authentic. How many rookie premieres 07-09 do you see graded by PSA vs. Beckett?

Psa is a laugh. I used to have a huge vintage collection and sold it all. I would crack a card, send it in, and get 6, 6, 7, trimmed, altered, 7, 6. The card is absolutely beautiful, and I can't see any reason at all why its not a nine.

I had a buddy sent in about 30 really tough cards from the 20's, and they all came back as 2.0 - 2.5.

He cracked them all and resubmitted and guess what? 7s and 8s.

Its so random over there, I know a lot of guys have given up even thinking they know what might come back.

I haven't submitted to BGS yet, but I broke some cases of 2011 chrome baseball, and apparently, BGS is the place to get them graded.

I personally use SGC for any vintage so 1980 and older based on the time line of most serious guides and and BGS for my modern cards

I personally am not a big fan of the PSA slabs, the labels, their site, etc.

I agree. The PSA labels, and slabs all seem very cheap. BGS raised the bar with their labels and slabs.
