Need Help on 1960 Topps Venezuelan
Anyone know anything about 1960 Topps Venezuelan cards? I picked up some 1960 Topps cards and they have different backs. Looking at some cards on eBay, it appears the Jack Sanford may be a Venezuelan. I am not sure though. Also, the Pilarcik has a different back from the other 1960 cards, but there is no listing for a Venezuelan for this card. Are they fakes? Any help is appreciated.

Always trading for Barry Larkin. Currently have 1834 different out of 3579 total cards.

Will trade for other Cincinnati Reds and Cincinnati Bengals

According to what I've read, they are exactly the same except the Venezuelans have a matte finish on the front as opposed to the glossy finish. I know that each year of Venezuelans had differences with their American counterpart, and I think later they were in Spanish but the 1960's look to be issued with English.

Interested in EX-MT or better pre-'56 Cardinals, '53 Bowman Color & '74-'78 Topps.

Gotta be more to it than that. Gloss will fade from time & handling. Could get very hard to tell and I think the eBay scum would be trying to take advantage of it but you dont see many(if any I dont really look) auctions for 1960 V's.

Well I have a stack of 300+ 1960's I just looked at them. Bout 50/50 light & dark card stock. So I think thats pretty normal for the year. I didnt look to see if I had any doubles with one of each so Im not sure if its a variation or just certain #'s will have one type of card stock over another.
or I just hit the Venezuelan jackpot! lol.... how do I tell if I have a Tiffany lol.....

Here is a note here from Beckett "There is no price differential for either color back." I took that right off the set info page.

Yeah, I finally figured out how to get set info here on the new site. It said that different series had different backs. I am sure I have the regular versions and not Venezuelans. Thanks everyone for your help.
