I think that in the environment he'll be going (back) to and with Bylsma's hard working/motivational work ethic, Kovalev will now have what it takes to put some youthful dreams back into his hands!

I have a feeling it's a positive move for the Penguins and will give Kovalev some star power (morale boost). That will only make the Pens an even bigger force to be wreckoned with once the scratches have returned!

Ontop of that, Lemieux thinks this is a good move obviously as a person who knows and has played with Kovalev. They are doing more than taking a chance here, they have a master plan!!!

After watching him in Ottawa for a little over a season, the Penguins can have him! I would have traded him for a half roll of hockey tape, and a 1 way ticket to Moose Jaw!

2nd game in and he get the Penguins 1st goal and the SO winner!
I know for a fact Kovalev will be an impact here, especially when said players return.
