Beckett Shipping issue...
Question, I just received back 10 cards I had graded and 3/10 came to me in "Chipped/fractured" cases. If this shipping issue common with Beckett? They are still sealed and such but now they look unpleasant I guess...
Thanks for any info...

I never had an issue, I am sure if you contact them they would be willing to help you.

Definitly a shipping issue. Maybe they should separate the cards/cases with bubble or some extra padding. The box was so cold from shipment. I'm sure it was thrown around..

AHH, the real root of the problem. the monkey's at Fed Ex were playing ball with your cards. not an uncommon issue, the monkey's that is.

I've sent several orders in and only once did I get a damaged one back. case was cracked and card inside destroyed. made a phone call and was told to send it back at my expense and they would fix it. fixed it they did, they regraded the damaged card and slapped a 5 on it and mailed it back at my expense again. called and raised hell and got a gift certificate for the insured value of said card and I think the postage I paid as well.

oh I know full well not to write Fragile on any package I ship. the handlers know that is just all the more reason to see how well I package things. I manage a warehouse for 12 years now, I know all the games.

dont worry though, you'll never get one of my packages, I ship UPS and have Beckett use my UPS account to return ship my graded cards.
Fed Ex is actually banned from coming on my property, I called the local office and told them to never set foot on it again or I would call the cops for trespassing. the local monkey left a few thousand dollars of product in my front yard and it rained later that day. he was too lazy to open the enclosed front porch door and put it inside.

If its a recent order,,,, email grading@beckett.com with the job ID # (found on your paperwork) and let them know about your desire to get them reslabbed due to the shipping damages caused on the return delivery,,,,

BGS should repair them for free and send them back to you provided you follow their protocol,,,,

Its not a common issue to have cracked slabs,,,,,,, generally occurs due to a poor plastics batch or shipper mishandling,,,,,

See me if you have future questions,,,, use pm/email,,,,

Jeff
