OK, so I've officially completed my 2011 Topps Series 1 set today. With that said, I've checked the checklist here and didn't see any of the typical SPs that we've seen in years past in which they take a card and make a variation with a HOFer on the card. I haven't seen/read anything about them either but I could have easily missed it. Anyone know if these things were killed off after the 2010 set or are they right under my nose?

No, I'm not talking about the diamond sparkle cards which apparently replaced the pie in the face cards this year.

I was hoping to trade for the rest of the set but was getting too antsy and went to get my haircut today which is right behind the LCS where I bought my box. He had busted a jumbo box so I just went ahead and purchased the 57 cards I still needed for the set. I probably saved money in the long run with shipping/top loaders/sleeves and helped out the brick and mortar, if only in the smallest manner possible. He's always a cool guy to chat with.

Some guy dumped off a bunch of cases at his shop recently. A bunch of '83-'85 Donruss and Fleer stuff with some late 80s Topps football. I'm tempted to buy a box for the sheer novelty of it.

I do have a Killebrew card that I believe is an SP. I know I saw in the box break forum somebody else pulled a different HOFer.

they are there... from what i have seen:

ruth, wagner, banks, yaz, greenberg...

a search of 2011 topps sp should show them... after a bit of scrolling anyways.

Got a couple already....Ernie Banks, Rogers Hornsby. So yeah, they're in there.
