Oh, most definitely! I was just amazed that some folks were willing to drop money on an obvious fake.

But some people cannot tell fakes. All it takes is one sale.

RE: If you had the money...
For modern cards it would be an 01 SPx Albert Pujols auto Rc - #1 most wanted on my modern list right now

Vintage it would be hard to choose between the 1939 Play Ball Ted Williams Rc, 1948 Bowman Stan Musial Rc, 1954 Topps Hank Aaron Rc, and any of the 1933 Goudey Jimmie Foxx and Mel Ott Rcs. Maybe next year on one or more of those though.

RE: If you had the money...
Back to the thread, there is a 1940 playball joe jackson psa8 for sale. And a nice Foxx, Cobb, and Wagner auto that I have been looking at. But not sure if I can actually pull the trigger on a 4k card.

Either a 2002 Topps 206 Cobb relic, or 2003 Topps 205 Hank Aaron auto.

I collect 1999 Ultra, 2002 Topps 206, 2003 Topps 205, A&G Minis, Andy Pettitte,
and Brett Gardner.

Good thought, But I have always liked the 49 leaf williams, just like the bolder colors of the older vintage. But a Williams rookie would be nice.

I saw somebody selling distressed reprints "that look just like the real thing" on the bay (and people were bidding on them). Hopefully they don't show up as the real thing later on.

Graded cards FTW

Trading ANYTHING in my Photobucket for these cards:

M. Jordan 1986-87 Fleer #57 BGS 8
M. Jordan (BGS)
C. Barkley (BGS)
L. Gehrig (BGS, SGC, PSA)

Like the auto idea, but that expensive relic is no different from the 2006 greats of the game relic listed on the bay for $89.
