LMAO!!! No chance of that happening. they increased the price from $6.00 to $9.00 a month for no reason. Thats a total of $108 a year to use pricing...wow!!!

Its 6.75 when you purchase a whole year at one time. If not its $9 a month. Either way $81-$108 a year for pricing is crazy for only 1 sport. I have paid every month since Jan 2010 so obviously I will continue to pay for my pricing. However a few years back I subscribed to the magazine versions of Beckett football card plus and Beckett graded card price guide for only around $50 a year ($25 a piece) with certificates for free BGS grading for 2 cards with each subscription. That was pretty cool. IMO. It was also smart business. Why you ask? Because I would send in additional cards to get graded which generated more business from me. I have yet to send in any cards to get graded since. You make your customers happy and they will not only buy what they need they will buy extra. Everything has stayed the same except the price. Grading costs have increased as well as price guides. We get the same product for a more expensive price.

Before you pay $50 for two subscriptions and get 4 cards graded for FREE and now its $81-$108 and you get nothing for free. I was also given a year free for beckett football card plus one time as well. Beckett cared about their die hard customers a lot more then or at least it showed. This was around 2007.

Also I was told that everyone (new and old members) will pay the new price after this year is up. Becketts way of try to make us happy is continue to charge loyal members who have stuck with them the same rate for one year and then jack them up next year. That doesnt seem very fair to me considering it was THEIR fault the old site was terrible. Im also not a complainer I have been very understading with the site performance for the last 6-8 months without saying a word. Now we get the new site and get charged more??? Oh yeah next year I mean. Other than that I love beckett and will continue to be loyal!!!

Also I know they are trying to fix the bugs within the new site so not sure if they are aware of this but when you browse your own organize some cards are in order by date and are in alphabetical order while others are not.

For example it will be something like

2007 Upper Deck
2008 Upper Deck
2007 Topps triple threads


Not sure if everyone is having this problem or not.

Also today I looked up a Maurice Jones Drew card and nothing showed up so I removed "drew" from the search bar and the card did show up. Not sure if they are aware of that or not.

I sense a lot of hostility in many ways back and forth. No offense Floydtown, but this site isn't worth $2 a month in its current state. I was told that us current subscribers would see some kind of special treatment for dealing with constant site bugs, then the crash of 2011, and all we're seeing is our current prices staying the same while everybody else's rises 50% or so. I've had PMs and emails back and forth with many members of this site and I think I'm speaking for a few of you when I say that this isn't even close to what we were promised. The new site was supposed to have added functionality and we have less. It was pushed back several times because "we want to get it right" and we basically got a shell that the new site might end up in somewhere down the road. I'm tired of paying for a site that doesn't work and I know that many others are as well. You can suspend me, block me, delete me, or do whatever you want to me but it doesn't change the fact that this site is a steaming pile of crap and many will look elsewhere because this just doesn't work. Sure, you'll have your people who stick around just because Beckett.com is a MONOPOLY in the online price guide business. The only way this site will ever actually work is if there was some actual competition that kicked the powers that be in the hind ends and got them actually motivated to get something done. Too bad that those same powers that be will never even allow us to promote our small podcasts, blogs, or other forms of media that could actually help stimulate this card collecting community and show a side that goes beyond the cracked walls of this site. There, I had my say. Fix the old site and put it back up or make this one actually work. I dont really give a crap anymore. I'm letting my subscription run out and I'll buy a PG at Wal Mart to last me a few months.

Wasn't necessarily you that I was aiming my comments towards, thus the reason I said no offense to Floydtown. Also, unfortunately, it's not only my opinion. There are many of us that few screwed over by the transition happening at Beckett. I wish I was the only one that felt that way. I've received dozens of emails and PMs over the last week all saying the same thing about this site. I apologize (I'm doing this publicly) that you feel as if it was an attack on you. Wasn't my intention. You're a moderator, not in charge of what's happening. I'd gladly send a message to the big cheese, but I don't have his email address. If somebody wants to send him my "opinions" or give me his email address, I'd be happy to take it to the right guy. I just want to see this site headed down the right path. If I knew enough about HTML and Javascript...who knows what would happen. It wouldn't be this bad though. I'd make sure to get it right before I charged money.

its all good, I missed the no offense part. I had eye surgery on Thursday and some days are real good and some real bad. Yesterday the light from my laptop was unbearable even with my Gator glasses on

That stinks. No, I can see how you would take offense when skimming over. It's just been frustrating. Because of my thing I can't promote on Beckett I get a tone of emails about stuff like this. My apologies to anyone who took offense. I just want everybody here to have the site we were promised, even if it means I have to be the sacrificial lamb to light a fire under the bellies of the big bosses. Nothing personal with any of the moderators or people who don't share the opinions of us who are frustrated with the site. I hope that we all will soon have the site we have all been looking forwards to.
