Well, the Duel is next, but then comes the BIG RACE. I think it will be a great race, but I think Mark Martin may win the Daytona 500. Anyone disagree?

With Mark being the fastest in practice and being on the pole last year I think he has a good shot. I just hope he stays out of the big one next week that is if they have one.... The Duels will be very interesting....

The thing with not having "The Big One" is, people sit and watch the race, just to see this.?? The way Mark and Kyle were running last night was good. I don't know what happend, and nither do either of the drivers, but I think they would have been right up front with the rest of them, looking for the checkerd flag, if they didn't wreck.

Well, Dale's on the pole. That pretty much means he won't win! J. Gordon looked real good last night and today in his qualifying run. I think the Hendrick team has a really good chance of putting a driver in Victory Lane. I really hope Martin can pull it off this time!!!

good to c Martin running good. been waiting 15 years for him to win the 500, just not sure if he can pull it out. Always seems to get caught up in a wreck. Wouldn't actually mind junior winning it. Gordon's running good too, going to be good year for him with new crew chief. Still don't c anyone beating johnson. Dude is too strong right now.

corbins sports cards, I agree...LOL. I am not so sure that Johnson is going to take a 6th. one. He might, but there are to many guys on the track that want him to go down. I would love to see Jimmie win another one, because I have his cup card this year and I would like to get that special one that Press Pass gives out for it.

It looks like Jr. will have one heckuva time trying to win this race. Taking the Shootout and the 125's into consideration, Kurt Busch and Burton have looked REALLY good so far. Both battled for the Shootout victory and each took a 125 victory. If either one wins it, my vote is for Burton. I would rather see a member of Hendrick win it though. Come on Mark!!! (or Jimmie or Jeff... maybe Jr.)
I wouldn't mind seeing Kahne or Vickers win it too (even though they don't seem to have enough car to do so)! I'm pretty sure no one thought McMurray would win it last year.

The way I am seeing the 500 is, the Hendrick boys are or have been laying back and soaking it all in. Chad knows this track and has had Jimmie just watching all that is going on. I am sure the rest of the Hendrick boys are doing the same thing. At least I hope that is what is going on with Jimmie.
All in all, it is going to be a real good race. Only about 16 hours to go. Darn, that is a long ways away..LOL
