Any word on this???

RE: Any word on this???
OK, I feel the need to weigh in here now....maybe this is not the spot to do it, but this is where I am right now so here it goes...

I struggled through the trials and tribulations on the old site and kept my mouth shut on the boards regarding all of the inefficiencies as there was enough people there complaining and enough people jockying for mod positions (IMHO) defending beckett....I kept up to date on IT Guy's (can we get a real name for you btw) and can almost guarantee that no one in this world hates their job more than that guy did back then (and probably still)....my beef is not with the IT guy....honestly to me, he might as well be the President of Beckett because he is the ONLY beckett employee conversing with any of us on anything!!

I do this as a hobby....although over the past 3 or 4 months I have been on this site every day adding to my organize / checking things out and making trades with some great people and I have thoroughly enjoyed this aspect of the hobby...However I have been a "member" here for many years, had the OPG last year for 6 months, then when the site started going wacky, I cancelled because I couldn't justify paying for something that I couldn't use whenever I needed or wanted....like a lot of other people I am sure.....so even though I wasn't a "paying" customer for the past while....I stuck around and contributed to the community in a positive way as much as I could....my intent was to wait for this great new site that was promised and renew when it was operational....now the site is not operational and they are charging MORE for the OPG....Not only that, but this HELP forum is in total disarray....why is there not stickies at the top of this forum explaining what has been fixed and how you need to fix certain things by yourself such as the time? It's an incredibly easy fix that I had to spend an hour reading through crap to find out how to do it on the 15th (or whatever page) of a thread....there should be a sticky at the top of this forum by now that says...TO FIX YOUR TIME DO THIS....I understand Exstream put a post up there that he will be updating....GREAT! But a beckett employee should be taking care of this because as he states, he has a job and a life....this IS the job of a Beckett employee!!

Lpearce7 above stated that he is thinking of leaving the hobby.....which is a crying shame...because after I read that I wonder how many other collectors are feeling the same way...

I can tell you this....as I stated, I consider myself a "moderate collector" for the last while, I have been excited EVERY DAY to go home after work haul my cards out, hop on beckett and just do "stuff" anything!! I have not even looked at a card in the last week....and for that I thank Beckett

That's the end of my one and only rant....

I am guessing I was right on my Post to what IT Guy said yesterday because not only did they remove his post but took every post that people made a comment about it.I just hope he watches what he says a little better from now on and not blame the customer anymore. I will end that discussion now because seeing how they acted I feel I was right and they knew it so instead of makeing certain people look bad they decided to erase the whole comment and responces to what was said. I think it was a good choice to of done that though because there should not be any finger pointing, lets just get it fixed and be done with the issue.

I asked. Being grandfathered into the old pricing for the rest of the year is the reward for current customers that was mentioned in a previous update.

what a joke! It's starting to get comical at this point.

That's not a reward. Reward me with my money back

The mods aren't covering up for them I think they are lied to also. They seem like good regular guys just like most of us.

RE: Any word on this???
I for one love the trade manager when it is working. I've been on a mission to shrink down my collection and because of the trade manager, I can find the people who have cards marked as wants that I don't care to own anymore. In the two weeks prior to the big crash about a week before the new one opened, I managed to trade off about 150 cards for about 20 in return because of this feature. Once I finish organizing by player/team, I'll be back at it.

I can say with high confidence that if I just posted a thread on a board with the pictures that those trades would not have taken place as my thread would have fallen off the page within half an hour and I would have to hope that someone who wants those cards sees them. I tried buying from someone else via a thread on another board, first transaction on that site, and almost got ripped off. I've never been ripped off here in about 160 trades, not even close. Yes, people get ripped off here, that's the way this hobby works as there are plenty of scumbags in the world. However, the number of their bad trades compared to their good is hardly anything to lose sleep over. I'll take the trade manager here over any other boards version of trading.

RE: Any word on this???
i questioned beckett customer service about all the down time with the old site and i got this response from them and im madder especially after they announced the price hike all the while running ads for the old price...

Hello David,

We are sorry that you have experienced problems with the website. We checked your account and found that even with the issues, you have continued to purchase one-month Total Access subscriptions. If the site was not performing at all to your expectations, it seems you would have discontinued your subscription altogether. We understand that you use and benefit from the services we provide and thank you for continuing to visit the website. We are working hard to get the new site launched as soon as we possibly can.

RE: Any word on this???
WOW so that's the reward we get they are going to keep the old price ..... AMAZING that they think anyone would even pay the old price for the crap they are trying to feed us.. Why do they not feel they owe all of us for putting up with a price guide that worked less than half the time yet they charged us full price all of the time... Once again they are showing they care nothing about the users and the hobby but care most about lining their pockets with our money... My sugestion is to use a true price guide system and look it up on EBAY at least they give a true price of what the cards are selling for and you don't have to pay a cent... wish I had of taken my own advice instead of paying for this site....

RE: Any word on this???
Our reward is being grandfathered in? Ok then what about what you owe us for all the time the site didn't work because surely we paid full price to use the site full time.
