Has anyone run into this on Ebay? Help appreciated!
I have 9 items up for sale on ebay and they are all nice auto's, however, I just checked on them tonight and somebody with ZERO FEEDBACK has bid on all but 2 of them, I contacted him and told him he has until 11:00 eastern time or I'm cancelling all his bids. I usually don't mind letting some newbies bid but this makes it look like I'm shill bidding{which I do not do} or, the other thing that came to mind, is that this is being done in cahoots by a couple of bidders{a couple of watchers have dropped out since he bid on everything}, has anyone ever come across this? My ebay id is 8149pete, I'm not new to ebay{buying or selling} but this thing doesn't seem right. I 'm 99% sure I'm going to cancel, but I would appreciate any input, thanks,The DR.

It happened to me recently, but not quite as many. He ended up winning two of my auctions and paid promptly.

Remember... at one point, you had 0 feedback as well. I say, let him ride.

I usually set my own policy on selling item. I will not accept any bidders with less than 10 positive feedback and if someone bid with less than 10 positive feedback. I cancel the bid automatic. It's me. Smile

He may have bid on one item and then checked out your other auctions and thew in a bid on them. Is there a lot of time left on them? Maybe he bid low hoping to get them?

Yeah, there's more than 24 hours left on most of them, I don't like it for the two reasons I stated above and the fact that he won't respond to my e-mails, my gut tells me something isn't right, he's bid on over 100 items and hasn't won one?even I'm not that bad! and what if I let him go, he wins, he stiffs. I haven't sold on ebay for a while, I have 17 other cards going on tonight so I may wait till I see if he bids any of them, thanks for the response, pete

ditto......

i know i sure love bidding on multiple items from the same seller....even did so when i was a newbie....

and for what it's worth , you say he has bid on hundreds of items and won none....how do you know he's won none ? because his feedback is zero ? irrelevant...he could have won dozens and just not received any feedback yet....

ok , so you e-mailed him...perhaps he isn't sitting home by his computer eagerly awaiting e-mails from e-bay sellers who want to cancel his bids....it's a friday night....he may be working ...he may be out on a date , or with the wife and kids doing the family thing....be patient....

and if he DOES bid and not pay , it's quite simple....you file a non-paying bidder claim ... if he does not respond (and pay) you then you close the claim , hit him with an unpaid item strike to get your fees reimbursed , then block his id from bidding on your items and then relist the cards....kinda simple....
