RE: Freakin Nightmare
Did anyone really expect the site to run flawlessly when released? I'd imagine transferring thousands of trades, messages, and collections is a bit different than any of the internal testing they were able to do.
As for them not responding to every single post in the help forums, I think some of them do have lives outside of this website so they aren't able to sit here 24/7 and reply "We're working on it" to every post. I collect 1999 Ultra, 2002 Topps 206, 2003 Topps 205, A&G Minis, Andy Pettitte, and Brett Gardner. |

Afterall, look at how many posts have been made just today. This is a process and we are likely half way through it. Scary for perfectionist, just fine from where I stand. It will get there. If Beckett did not care, they would not invest this kind of money to fix the site. They would have kept milking the old one. Patience is thin and learning something new is always troublesome; but, I think they are working to enhance this site and it will continue to improve. As a web developer, I have had the pleasure of searching through code looking for the out of place quote marks that blew up my project. It will take some time to work out the wrinkles of this new shirt.

RE: Freakin Nightmare
Come on guys... This is not a simple quote out of place. And all we ask is that it works. It doesnt need to be flawless. Most if not all of us were used to the new old site and it was a disaster. But this is even worse if that can be possible. Simple testing? More like no testing. I have almost every one of the problems that have been listed here. Now there are problems with every section of this site all at one time. Poke me in the eye! Then they go and tell us they are raising prices. Poke me in the other eye! Guess if I cant see I wont need this site.

RE: Freakin Nightmare
All I know is if i was the President or CEO of this company i would absolutely be making a thread on this forum at least calming us down and letting us know what's really going on. But no we just keep get simple IT answers like clear you history and such. I mean really? If he had any clue about how much money his company could possibly lose he would of done this already but he hasn't so who knows.
There has obviously been a huge mistake made on their end that is not being told to us because there is no other explanation. Something is terribly wrong with the functionality of this website. ![]() New York Giants Fan & Collector. http://s9.photobucket.com/home/deuce6000/ |

RE: Freakin Nightmare
I will agree with deuce6000 that they are pretty bad about keeping their paid customers in the loop. That is one area where Beckett (as a company) has bumbled this transition to the new site.
I figure this is a matter of patience and we all have varying degrees of it. I walk away from the site when I get frustrated. Why? There are far more important things in my life than this site and it isn't worth upsetting myself over something I don't control. I bet that if the site isn't much better in a month, they will lose people in droves and that costs them doubly as they are expecting this new site will increase revenue NOT decrease it. Afterall, they are a business and Referrals are still paramount to product.
