I know that some internet fans are crazy and just _knew_ that a promo with a guy in a dark trench coat with a song about a grave had to be about Sting, of course, but come on. THATS JUST RUSSO, Hes a copycat. look how many past ECW ideas he brought to WWF airwaves. And he seems be a mark for ECW wrestlers and "Huge Swerves". Im a fan of ECW, but dont use storylines, bring it up when it went out of biz 10 years ago or use past ECW stars in ways that are uncharacteristic. |

This whole storyline with Immortal and Fortune was similar to the final few months of WCW. I'd stopped watching by then, but from what I hear, there isn't a whole lot of difference as far as the Millionaires club and some other faction. I think Russo was in charge of both storylines. As much as I think Sting is washed up, I'm glad he won the title. Having a man that may or may not be going to jail on drug charges as your champion is foolish and shortsighted. Then again, paying Hulk Hogan as much as they are for basically nothing is the same way. Also, the constant swaying of babyface to heel and back again is completely rediculous and overused. The only examples of this in WWE recently is Edge and Randy Orton and they've both been faces again for quite a while. I don't watch TNA that often, but every time I do AJ Styles has switched sides. Kurt Angle and Jeff Jarrett were doing that quite consistently for a while as well. I could go on and on about this.

RE: TNA's Dire Status
TNA's promo "copying" WWE's is definately a spoof. If you watched the WWE promo the week before Undertaker came back, you saw Undertaker inside the shack obviously, but there was another person OUTSIDE the shack in a trench coat watching him through the window. I think Vince McMahon's ego had him thinking once Sting didn't sign with TNA once his contract was up meant he was leaning toward signing with WWE, and at the last minute, Sting decided to stay with TNA. So that's why I think the TNA promo is a spoof. A kind of f-u to McMahon for assuming he had Sting all wrapped up. Just a theory though. Could be Bischoff and Russo are complete morons too.

Sting, will never sign with WWE, he doesn't like Mcmahon, and he doesn't like how old VKM has treated people. I think the whole thing with Lex Luger and Miss Elizabeth, and then Miss Elizabeth dying really hit Sting hard, as Vince knew that they both had a drug problem ( just like he knew Hardy has one ), and he didn't do anything to get them help, and Sting won't lower his Morals like HBK did to work for VKM. the bucket http://postimage.org/Shez WANTED: 2006 FLAIR SHOWCASE SIGNATURES #/35 |

What is TNA doing about Hardy's drug issue? Anything? And HBK didn't really lower his morals to go the the WWE. He was there long before he had morals. It was kind of funny during the last DX run to see HBK avoiding all the lewd humor that would pop up, though. You're right that Sting doesn't like McMahon, or at least didn't. I hope he's been smart enough with his money that he won't feel the need to stoop to crawling to McMahon to finish his career. |

RE: TNA's Dire Status
The bottom line is that, in order for TNA to be successful, Bischoff, Hogan, Russo, and Jason Hervey(???) have got to go! It's becoming a complete re-hash of WCW back in the NWO/LWO/Millionaires Club/New Blood era. And why is Kevin Arnold's older brother listed as a producer?
Crazy idea Bischoff/Hogan, but instead of copying yourselves, or WWE, why not try something ORIGINAL? I loved TNA when I first saw it, why? The 6 sided ring! An original concept that actually worked in my opinion...Now we're back to a traditional ring, 2 rival factions, the "us vs. them" storyline/mentality, and the same 10-15 guys getting all the airtime...The one thing I do like in the Fourtune angle being that all 4 guys are ORIGINAL TNA stars. more time should be given to the up and comers like Amazing Red, Gen Me, Jay Lethal, etc. Bringing in help for Angle in the form of Crimson and Fourtune's swerve was cool, but Scott Steiner?? Don't get me wrong, I love "Big Poppa Pump", but c'mon now...and calling Rob Terry "Chernobyl" because he's "1 vitamin away from being a chemical meltdown"? Isn't that the pot calling the kettle black? Sting as champ is an interesting, if somewhat overused swerve, but it would have made ( again, my opinion only) more sense, given recent developements, to have Hardy's "mystery opponent" be a man who has proven he can carry the ball, and has more talent than half os the "Smackdown" roster...that's right, I said it...Hardy's opponent SHOULD have been AJ!! And that's my 10 cents worth...I'm Canadian, so I gotta add 8 cents for the exchange! ![]() Thanks to Tha Penguin for the banner! Always looking for Senators and Canucks cards.
