I spoke with IT Guy on the phone @ about 6:30 am CST - he is driving through an ice storm on the way to the office.

Long & short of it - the data migration is taking longer than expected. The migration process is more than just simply copying the data. On this (old) site, the data is more than just card name, price,and image - there are also a lot of other bits attached to each card (cross referencing, magazine data, etc) that is not needed on the new site, so the process is also removing the unnecessary bits. This I imagine, will be part of the improvements in speed/performance of the new site.

In any event, he was going to let us know exactly where they're at when he gets to the office and gets a chance to talk to the lead developer. When he lets me know more, I'll let you know.
