Beckett Sports Card Monthly: The Autograph Issue
Growing up (teen years into my twenties) I was a huge wrestling fan. Being from Philadelphia, once I discovered it I fell in love with ECW. It was my kind of promotion and it being local was an added bonus. I attended as many shows as I could from 1997 till they went out of business.
Shortly after they closed their doors forever, I bought a full size (1st generation) replica heavyweight belt and after seeing alot of local shows and signing featuring ex-ECW stars it was my goal to get it signed by all the ex-heayweight champions that held that title (from the EXTREME days on, not Eastern Championship days). I attended many shows and signings and ventured as far as Connecticut and New York but I finally got ALL 15 ex-ECW title holder to sign it. I also developed a friendship at the time with The Blue Meanie and helped him out working for his promotion 3PW (which is also how I got more of my signatures I needed for that belt for free). To me this was an awesome project hunting autographs that took me 2 years to complete and it is still special to me as some of those people are no longer with us (Bam Bam Bigelow & Mike Awesome). Pictured below is the belt with all 15 champs signatures: Mikey Whipwreck, Mike Awesome, Raven, Terry Funk, Sabu, The Franchise Shane Douglas, Bam Bam Bigelow, Tommy Dreamer, Taz, The Sandman, Steve Corino, Jerry Lynn, Justin Credible, Rhino & Masato Tanaka ![]() ![]() ![]() I give consent to use story and pics if considered for the magazine. |

Beckett Sports Card Monthly: The Autograph Issue
I first got into collecting with 1987 Topps baseball, I was seven years old. Every trip to our local Wal-Mart I would get a pack of some type of cards. I thought the Comic Ball Cards looked cool. I was 9 or 10 years old and used my allowance for a few packs. I pulled the card pictured below. It is a signed and numbered comicball series 1 card. I showed my parents who put it away really fast. Later explaining to me it was signed by Chuck Jones. It didn't mean much to a 10 year old. In the 20 years since I have grown to understand how legendary and important Chuck Jones was to Animation. I have searched high and low and looked for information everywhere, with zero luck. There are websites devoted to comic ball that didn't include this card until I emailed them the pics of the card. Zero have been on Ebay, I have also emailed Chuck Jones' Gallery. Who also could not tell me if they had been pulled from production and a limited number had slipped out. It would be great to find out an answer after 20 years of wondering and at least 10 of searching.
Thanks Aaron Kaiser DRobinson23mvp

It may take a few times to get an answer, but since they put out the product, they should have knowledge of this card. Worth a try. Found online: http://www.jamesdiversities.ecrater.com/...ones /> |
