The locals here say it is. I have never had it. Can't wait to try it either! I will have my first bite of it on Friday. Think I may grill it!

Do it this way amigo, first, you put ice on it for 10 minutes to get rid of the "fishy" smell to it, than you put it on aluminum foil, spice it up and throw some lemon juice etc. on it, and grill it on the aluminum foil. Its scrumptious, or just throw it on the grill and put some onions etc. and grill without aluminum and make a "shark steak" Big Grin

Great stuff Halldog, looks like you had some fun fishing them sharks.

I would just split it in half with the shrimp. 10lbs of each. The small shrimp are great and the big shrimp you can get creative with on the grillSmile

Well, I have eaten fried Gator, but never had shark myself. Gator is good, kinda hard to explain the taste. It is good though. I like making my own, but the sausage is different for me as I have never had it before. I am looking forward to it.

Gobolts: Once the sharks started hitting the bait, I had a blast! I think I may do that with the shrimp, half and half, should be good. Maybe 10-15lbs of the regular being that they cost half of what the jumbos cost and then do 10lbs of the jumbos.

Dayton: I plan on grilling some of the shark meat. The locals here say to marinade the shark meat in Italian Salad dressing. Sounds funny but I will try it out and see what all the hooplah is about. One of the Filets is around 2ft long. A NICE STEAK THAT WOULD BE! They say that Shark does not lose it's consistency on the grill at all and doesn't break up. I am looking forward to it for sure.

I sure do need some shark than, once that fish is on the grill...its like mush sometimes lol. Ive did Itallian dressing on shrimp, and that is my fav salad dressing...and it came out really good. Good luck, and i can use a 2ft long steak right now...
