The list was fine IMO until last weeks episode where Emmitt came in at #28. Ever since that the whole list is a joke. I basically argued Brady at #21 all last week so I wont go there but just think Barry is only 4 spots ahead of Brady...WOW!!! Also 16 guys ahead of Barry is a joke. The list was so good until last week and now its a joke. Emmit should be #15ish Marino should be 8-10 Elway 8-10 Barry 8-10. Brady 45-50ish (just because his career isnt over yet)

A hall of fame panel including Sayers, Brown, Harris, Dorsett, and Campbell were interviewed. Harris and Dorsett remained neutral, Brown and Campbell had a Sanders lean and Sayers said it straight up "I think Emmitt is a good second-effort runner, a strong runner, but I go with Barry." so there's my side.

Thanks for the video link Kelly, Some really great stuff in there. I knew he had a lot of runs for negative yards but NOT that many LOL! Could you imagine how many negative yards he would have if he didn't quit when he did,HAHA!!! Now after seeing that I'm not so sure if he would have broke Payton's record after all.

It was never said publically, and it may not be the case at all, but I think he walked away when he did because he was about to break Walter's record....and Walter was in very bad health. I think Walter passed away shortly after that, but I could be mistaken.
Regardless, chances are that if he didn't walk away when he did Emmitt Smith would be #2 on the yardage list because Barry wasn't banged up at much during his career and was only 1 year ahead of Emmitt.

Another thought, while he may have lost all those yards......he gained them all back

I wasnt going by stats or rings or anything other than my opinion. Emmitt should be the 15ish best player of all time. I do think Marino, Elway, Sanders were better than Emmitt. You only pointed out Marino. Just because Im a Marino/Phins fan doesnt mean I think Marino was the greatest player of all time. Last week I made the argument Marino, Elway and Emmitt were better than Tom Brady. Emmitt at 15 seems very logical to me which shouldnt offend you too much because that means only 14 players are better than Emmitt. Thats pretty good man.

Barry's my 2nd favorite HB of all-time to LaDainian Tomlinson and LT only takes the cake because of the team he played for. Barry was a MONSTER!

Do I feel in my heart Barry should rank higher ..... yes, but I still feel it's an honour for him to be recognized and placed as high as he did.
