ANSWER: This card came inserted in a pack without an autograph. All the cards from this set that have the extra gold foil at the top all have sticker autographs. The ones with no extra gold foil at the top are signed directly on letter, no sticker. The unsigned is a total different set. Topps forgot to add the sticker to this one. A guy on a different forum bought it not too long ago and posted it. He asked what everybody thought, so I felt he needed to know the bad news that the card was supposed to come signed. He was shocked and said that he would contact the seller for his money back. I think he ended up sending it back and getting his money, but not sure.So basicly, this current owner must have got it signed in a public signing really recently, or he bought it from the previous owner like this? Then you have the thought that it might be fake, but I would doubt that any owner of a 1/1 would ruin it with a fake auto. Then again i've seen crazier things....

What are your thoughts? This card was definetly NOT signed out of pack, but later. If I find the thread/scan I will post it.Thanks for those took a shot and some of you were really close, others not but had a great eye!

No, the X above each letter is fine. Topps indicates which letter is on the front of each card by putting an X over the appropriate letter. They only do this for authentic letters.
I wonder who bought your Dirk letter.... I did! You're the guy that sold a bunch of Dirk cards not too long ago?

It was an "O" out of Topps Big Game In The Name. Next time I sell something like that I will let you know.
